I laughed when walking out of the ground to the Cardiff support asking us to smash the Swans.

CanadaRoyal I'm only an hour outside of Guelph and have some friends living in Cambridge.

I'm in St. Catharines now myself. Lived in Guelph 10 years hence the handle still.

If we're lucky hockey will be over by then and we can have the TV for ourselves!

I'm south of Hamilton in Cayuga so only 30 mins or so from St.Catherines. Whitby is other side of TO so would be a trek but a day in Toronto to watch the game would be worth a thought!

Every fan should be proud of the team after that performance - yes there were some hairy moments with the possible penalties and so on, but it was an immensely committed effort; special praise to Cummings for playing out of position and doing well, Leigertwood for winning the ball hundreds of times in the midfield, Long for giving their defence the runaround again, but you could justify praising every member of the team in a similar way.

One moment on the highlights was quite revealing - Bothroyd totally pussied out of a chance to challenge Federici for the ball when nearly through on goal, and that said a lot about the teams' respective attitudes (in the second half at least). He might be an England international ( ), and is clearly a good player, but anyone who displayed that sort of cowardice or apathy at Reading would be straight out the door. Absolute pcunt at a club full of pcunts at every level - excepting Jones - and it feels good to be the chief catalyst for their annual bottle job.

paultheroyal
floyd__streete Well, that is obviously lovely stuff but I thought we were actually completely mediocre first half. Awful goalkeeping from an awful goalkeeper gifts us a lead and then a totally obvious penalty wraps it up. Second half we did the proverbial job, some very sensible play putting the ball into the channels, defending from the front. We are that dreaded phrase used for mediocre sides - 'well organised'.

Swansea will be licking their lips. Two wins against us will mean nothing, but their movement and all round quality is greater than ours. So let's hope they freeze on the big day and absolutely stack it.....Reading style.

Is all I can say about that

 In the unlikely event that we lost, floyd would have been bleating about predictability without the slightest hint of irony.

True about the first half, though. We were very poor. Wrong about the second. That was way better than "well-organized" under the circumstances.

Ups and Downs Mcanuff had been playing like a not vey good at all all night, according to my dad. Which gave me great, great pleasure when he smashed that beauty in after a great turn of pace and a wang past the goal tender. I love you Reading!

I loved the mentioning of Messi and MacAnuff in the same sentence in the post match discussions on Sky!!

:D
