Ian Royal Obviously holding such records as most wins from the start of the season and most consecutive games without conceeding (in any competition still iirc) is also pretty anonymous.

Sadly the second one is not the case.

We conceded at Oxford in the League Cup before conceding in the League (we did score 5 though) and as for League games some mugs from Manchester have got that one.

Ahh. Ok, well holding it for about 20 years is still not anonymous, even if we don't have it now.

That, of course, is absolutely true. 8)

Although there is no absolute certainty because the record isn't really kept, I think you will find that we do still have a legitimate claim for the record for longest period without conceding in all competitions at 1080 minutes - consisting of 11 clean sheets, most of a game at Rochdale before run of clean sheets, and then the first 6 minutes in the Oxford game you mention. Certainly Manchester United did not beat that at the time they were setting the record in League games. And neither did any of the other teams who have come close. We also can claim the joint record for consecutive clean sheets in all competitions - 11, shared with Millwall from long ago. In both cases, all 11 were League games.

Essentially I challenge anyone to come up with a counterexample.

Jerry St Clair
paulholsgrove Can we just have chants and songs about the team and the players out there. None of this gayness with socks.cheer the team through the battle of the first half, they get boo'd off we come out buzzing and end the game. Hopefully if the players see how much we are behind them and the team it should help give them some more energy and willness to win for the supporters too. If they see us pratting about they may think the game doesn't mean to much for us and the other 2,300 day trippers!

West Ham away in 2006 > West Ham away in 2012

All standing, all on the piss.

So just to confirm. 2012 > 2006.

Looks like Jimmy left a lasting image with the West Ham fans again.

From West Ham online

sparkie, the first challenge he stood up to and pulled Taylor's shirt over his head almost. He was up for it and never hid.

He might be a cnut, but I quite like his arrogance. I liked Bellamy's arrogance on the ball and the same with Di Canio.

That airplane celebration around the corner of the pitch winding up the fans will haunt me forever. I hope G&S saw it.

ON my FB page Seahawkers. Though it was only two. The funny thing was the groundsman flicking the socks with his fork at half time and refusing to pick them up.

nobody seems to have mentioned the thunderbold finish by Jimmy seconds after the penalty award, just a pity the ref was so quick with the whistle.

That bloke is only suited to shitty northern tinpot clubs with a half-empty stadium and drum-banging mong fans who are too braindead to notice the absolute shit being served-up in-front of them.

Northern?!!!

2-4! and 3-0!

The only empty stadium was Upton Park on Saturday. Couldn't even sell out for their biggest game of the season.

Thanks! It might have been a gay idea, but the fact that it freaked out KUMB and only a few people did it made it a sublime piece of gheyness. I would have been the third sock chucker!
