TBM The club can't win in some people's eyes

Sig - £7m transfer fee and £35k a week and people are happy
Pog - £0 transfer fee and £35k a week (it's not 60) and people are moaning

We need these signings if we actually want to compete

35K a week and I would have thought we should all be delighted. I would just be a bit concerned if we were suddenly shelling out 65K a week basic pay.

I would also be very happy to see the club pay 7M and 35K per week for Gylfi as IMO he is worth it.

Assume this also puts and end to any interest in Rhodes.

Avon Royal 8 games. All this fuss over 8 games.

£13m on the back of two good months? Yeah right.

Fingers crossed this is all bollocks.

He was an unknown before those 8 games then was he?

His scoring record for Stuttgart was about a goal every 4 or 5 games. Hardly prolific.

It looks now as if the £65k a week was bollocks, so he could be a good addition at a fair wage on a free.

How anyone can moan at this signing is beyond me. He is free so hence the reason we could probably give the wages he wants, proven he can cut it in the prem at the top of his game and his previous record at Zenit was extremley good if I believe too one of the main reasons they won the Europa league that year.

At the end of the day you'd be moaning if we hadn't brought in anyone to the club before August 18th. I don't know what it is with some fans we could probably sign Ronaldo/Messi we'd still have some mindless idiot moaning about it.

Whats a free transfer and some slightly higher pay packet (not that we are sure if it is) if it is a major factor in ensuring our survival? Won't be moaning when we pocket millions for surviving this year will we?

The way I see it its a bargain buy considering his goalscoring records at other clubs (ok Stuttgart wasnt good) if his goals keep us up we get millions through TV deals sponsorship deals you name it. Not to mention the fact the planned expansion will go ahead if we establish ourselves in the PL. We will be needing to bring in exciting players of this calibre to fill out the stadium and then when we do that we will make a fair bit off gate receipts!

Great buy fantastic bargain once again the board have delivered with a shrewd bit of business and long may it continue. Those of you moaning because we supposedly need more creative players like Kalou get your head out of the clouds we have done exceptionally well to bring in the Pog and it will only encourage more world class players which is what we need to survive.

(that is if the deal is finalised but seriously some people need to get their heads out the clouds)

Gordons Cumming I hope our next signing is a Smith or a Brown.

Naaah I fancy Ba, not because of his playing ability but because it'd only cost £1.50 to get his name on the back of my shirt

0.36 league goals a game is a great overall record, on par with people like Defoe who we dream of

Got to add some context though, since he's been there (he was brought in to replace Mario Gomez no less) he's been in the Champions League, losing only to Barca at the Nou Camp in the last 16, but following that they've got through a manager a season spending the first half of each season in the bottom half/relegation zone before a new manager comes in and pulls them back up to the european places in the second half of the season. Never been able to get much consistency or stability there over the last few years and the team in general has underperformed a lot before this season

Church, Hunt and Le Fondre can legitimately moan at it.

"Reading
On 19 June 2012 it was announced that Pogrebnyak will sign for Reading, pending a medical on 20 June 2012."
(^ already been posted)
Was pretty exciting to see, though I'm sure it's a long way off...
would be a very good quality addition imo, we need more russian players.
