Thoughts from yesterday,
McCarthy should have saved the first easily, looked to be out of form.
Centre backs were played on the wrong side, probably to suit Pearce, to the detriment of Morrison who did not look comfortable on that side.
Royston looks unfit, definitely better out wide than through the center though.
Alf cannot play up top on his own.
Akpan looked very sharp, will play a big part this season hopefully.
Kelly won't feature much if he does not improve from yesterday.

Unless we buy a decent striker with pace and strength we will be lucky to make the playoffs

Really? - it took a deflection which carried it the other way, he was already going to his left when he had to shift back to dive right

Having just looked at Instagram, Feds is apparently in Windsor. Looks like, and quite rightly, McCarthy is number one this season! Otherwise you'd have expected Feds to get 90 mins today.

Not on his pre-season form. The mistake in Portugal in the lead up to the penalty was awful and he looked very uncomfortable yesterday in particular an awful throw out that went straight to a Swansea player which he should've been punished for.

Feds hasn't covered himself in glory in pre-season either from what I've seen of him.

Training now > last season's form >>> pre-season match form.

Rather obviously: Competitive game from the current season form > training > last season's form >>> pre-season match form.
