My bad. Was it 15 and 18 in consecutive PL season or something ludicrous? I know if you added them together they'd still get relegated in any season.
Sunderland got 19 in 02/03 (which was the record at the time) and then beat it with 15 in 05/06 - which yes was their next season in the top flight.
Remember it well as one of my best mates is a Sunderland fan and he was going potty at the thought of their 105 points record getting beaten in the same season they were doing that!
