Farnham Royal Who knows if the rumors about the Vikings owners are true? For what it is worth, what we do know is that in the NFL Players Association's official report card, the Vikings players give them very high grades (2nd out of 32 NFL teams). https://nflpa.com/minnesota-vikings-report-card-2024
And they were 1st in 2023

Franchise FCGreatwesternlinerabidbee Leaving aside that the bill will fall after Rishi's shock calling of a GE next week, how likely do you think this would get through Parliament anyway?
Yeh the biggest risk to this Bill is time. There are about 14 sitting weeks left till the November election.
But given the opposition support the Bill it will be plain sailing.
If an election happens before it is passed it falls entirely. And i doubt a new football regulator is going to be at the top of Labour's agenda for passing legislation when it comes in. When you've been out of power for 14 years you have more pressing demands on your legislative time.
When you’ve been in power for 14 years and got the country into such an awful mess I doubt a new football regulator should be anywhere near the top of the agenda

Labour do love a quango or two…
They call it creating jobs…..
A regulator will just add to costs - and maintain the status quo - and create another layer of jobsworths justifying their existence and creating nothing.
Wherever a Club is, when the regulator begins - is where they will stay.
Football is a worldwide market.
A regulator would (unless it had worldwide powers) drive money away from UK.
Football should be run by football - not by quangos and foreign owners with dubious records.
EFL should just ratify transfers and players’ wage costs - for every Club, based on last years accounts; adding in any special factors such as promotion or relegation.
It’s not that hard if there is a will to do so.
A new quango is rarely the answer to anything.

If Labour get involved in football I'm boycotting all football and watching rugby and cricket from now on

blythspartanWestYorksRoyal Earnshaw is the only one who can be trusted. You'd think the ITKs would have learned by now that Dai is unpredictable and whatever their contacts have heard, it means next to nothing.
The ITKs on Twitter are oxf*rd laughable. I have not seen most of them post anything before. Some now claiming there’ll be no news today, like we didn’t know that already. I must stop looking at it.

The Green Programme
Our owners, having seen this, made sweeping changes last January and things have improved ever since.......
......we are moving forward again....
The Green Programme
So exciting......
Moore, Pele and Puskas...
All in Reading shirts ...
The Green Programme Our owners have resisted the temptation to sell our best players and are ruthless and want success.
The Green Programme Instead of just accepting mediocrity, our owners are investing money, holding on to our best players and showing that they are ruthless.
The Green Programme Our owners have invested massively in the Club and have learned from their mistakes (buying expensive average players with little or no ambition, for inflated prices and eye watering contracts
The Green Programme Great signings; all of them, this summer.
And once again, our owners have done the business. Credit where it’s due.
The Green Programme Great signing if we get him, (Andy Carroll)even coming off the bench. Awesome target man; almost unbeatable in the air in both boxes; and some aggression up front; we haven’t had that since Jason Roberts. And he can finish.
With Drinkwater and Dann and the earlier signings too; and the youngsters around him doing the leg work; this could be an exciting season ahead

But exclusivity must therefore be close. It's only the first step and there is plenty of process to go through after this point. So this contravenes nothing James Earnshaw has reported, only the ITKs claiming "done deal". What a surprise.
There's still a route to exclusivity and bridging loan this week. And similarly, if this doesn't happen then Howe's timeline may not be achievable.
For context with WBA, their preferred bidder emerged in the middle of January and the deal was complete at the end of February. The Club won't be able to report who the preferred party until the EFL approves them, but media outlets will share it pretty widely.
