if you think so, it must be true, cos we are obviously going to sell half our squad if we dont go up in the summer, and its clearly true that weve taken 140 million in extra income in the last 4 years, and not spent any of it. so with a track record like that id say id be a utter moron not to listen to you and believe what you say.

I said that up to 40-50% could end up LEAVING. Many are out of contact and contracts are unlikely to be renewed and others will want to move to a higher level. It is pointless debating with you as you seem to have trouble understanding basis English.
I also never said we made 140M PROFIT. You really are being ridiculous now.

end of "debate"

 I give up - you clearly have too much time on your hands.

Yellowcoat Yet again you only talk about income. It is the fact that you do not appear to recognise expenditure at all that people find so tiresome.

If a business grows and increases its turnover massively it is incumbent on that business to control its costs. If what others have posted about the accounts is true, then it would appear that RFC failed to do that. If RFC gets promoted again I very much doubt the management will make the same mistake again.

I think this sums up what I find difficult to understand in your arguement. 'It is incumbent on RFC to control its costs' but you seem to be the one who wants them to spend now rather than control their costs. You really can't have it both ways.

The latest accounts up to June 2010 have just been published.

Profit £1.4M (this includes the £11M parachute payment we have now lost).
Net debt now £35.9M down from £44.7M mainly due to payback of around £7M overdraft using the Kevin Doyle money.
Hotel made another loss of £275K.
SJM didn't charge us a penny interest on any of his £25M loan, nor take any director emolument nor share dividend.(All lies I hear!!)

Salaries falling and I would imagine will continue to fall this year.

Accounts do not take into account the Gylfi money which one can see balances the books for this year while the salaries continue to fall.

As I said before, the hotel should be a completely separate entity.

It is, but they are part of the same parent company.

Because it gives a different view on the accounts. The hotel making a £275k loss shouldn't have any impact on Reading Football Club - so why can't we just have the figures for the Football Club. Those accounts, I assume, are for the holding company - which will also include wages etc for hotel staff?

Do you have any business knowledge at all? RFC having a holding company is a normal set up for many businesses.....

 What is important to US is the Football Club accounts - are you saying they don't have separate accounts for the two separate companies? :|

Can anyone remember the website of that guy who does detailed analysis of football clubs accounts?

I recall someone saying he was going to do Reading, but I can't remember the site

Because RFC's finances are the finances of RFC Holdings - the hotel can either be a source of income to the club or a drain on it's resources. They are intrinsically linked and share some of the same facilities.

I asked if he might look into RFC, nothing appeared yet.

Can someone now paste the last 5 years accounts up here so we can all have a good look, cant go back and look. Preferably in the same format.

Sounds to me that making a small profit means things are on track, guess it was the cup run!!

Each set of accounts are around 30 pages long. If you want 5 years pasted that's around 150 pages. Furthermore company accounts need to be read properly and if you can't see the links between cash flow, profit and loss and operating statements then it's easy to get confused and draw all the wrong conclusions. The guy on football accounts prefers to spend his time analysing clubs in financial trouble whose fans are worried,we're not in that category. Just as the hotel is an inextricable part of the stadium, so it is part of the total Reading FC holdings. The fact I can quote the loss shows the figures are separated from the football side.

Anyone can buy a copy of the accounts for £4.95 and have them emailed.
