Furry muff. I'm not arguing, the picture quality wasn't great and I wasn't looking for it. It did seem to have a slightly odd flight.

It wasn't a 'massive' deflection, it was a small deflection, that took it just over the keeper's reach.

Ian Royal :| He's still captain.

You're like a dog with a bone mate.
Hopefully McAnuff's not as clingy.

Hat-trick.

MELONHEAD: What the oxf*rd is your problem?
Compile your thoughts into logical points rather than posting ten posts, all slight variations of the same bloody comment.

So he is consistent in his argument. It's the likes of E-P who are getting agitated long after Melon has set out the criteria he is using on the subject. Hence the need for him to keep repeating himself.

What you mean is "Make your argument into something I agree with".

I'm talking about page 12 mate, where you've got Melonhead posting 13 times as if he's William oxf*rd Shakespeare having himself a soliloquy.

Sandman - Do you not know Melonhead at all?

The guy's on 25,000 posts in three years.
The page spamming he's up to on this thread is a typical sample of his usual posting habits.

This is a forum. Forums are for people to air their own views and question others. I was really not impressed by Guthrie today, I would like to see his Pass Completion stats which I think would be pretty poor and even his goal came off an Ipswich player.
This is my 45th season watching Reading FC and IMHO I think we are going to be the team to beat this year.....

I usually by pass most of his posts, I've never seen such a repetitive poster.

I must admit, I literally cried of laughter at the comparison of someone stealing his chocolate bar to Guthrie refusing sit the bench. It was a post which was very in depth and at a personal level, as if Guthrie touched him up as a child.

Ahhhhh..and the phases in forgiving Guthrie

I think you're quoting the wrong person there.

For percy_freeman - 76%.

Highest rated player for us on that site. Compared to last season, where very few averaged 70% or above pass completion, our entire team, bar McCarthy, managed it Saturday. Admittedly the reliability of this website is significantly called into question by crediting HRK with McCleary's assist, but ho-hum.

I have watched this site for years and then joined for a fair period and everything I have read from Melonhead is a GIRL talking. in past posts I have called Melonhead 'her' and no-one, including herself, has made any comment. Are there people on this site who actually know that Melonhead, the total waste of reading time - is actually a bloke! Please, someone tell me the truth.

All players make mistakes and no player was error-free on Saturday. If we have a dislike for a particular player we tend to remember those mistakes. If we like a player we tend to remember their good work and scrub out the mistakes against that.

I don't particularly like Guthrie's attitude over his time at Reading so far but he was MOM against Ipswich. He was the best of a bad bunch in the first half (which we were lucky to finish at 1-1) and he bossed the second half (along with Drenthe who looks a great buy). HRK was frustrated and nullified by the tall Mings (Ipswich were a tall team generally so our hoof-ball in the first half was easily dealt with by their defence). I was also very impressed with Williams who brought an urgency to the game when he came on and was very positive and comfortable on the ball.

Other observations ...
Gunter certainly got forward but was often caught out of position when they attacked and most of their good work came down their left side.
McCleary looked dangerous with some great interplay with Drenthe
I didn't hear the booing for McAnuff but that's a disgrace. Jobi has always worked hard for us and has been a good ambassador for the club. If he had dinked that ball over Liverpool's goalie, Cavalieri, in that 2010(?) FA cup replay (instead of steering it a few inches wide) he would rightly be acclaimed as a legend!!
Note to the back 4 + McCarthy - kicking the ball between yourselves several times before hoofing it upfield does not qualify as 'the passing game'! (Applies mainly to first half!)

I'm mainly positive about this season but (cliche-alert!!) there is work still to be done.

Ian Royal He is a bloke.

Does he know? Can someone give him advice? Can anyone shut him up so that sense can break out on the site? He/She is the biggest reason that people decry this site as a wasters Facebook page.

The only sense that 'can break out on the site' is when you leave. What are you even going on about?
