sandman Or he could make a long post about how his principles have been called into question by libellous accusations and flounce off from HNA?

Don't intimate. Repercussions known.

andrew1957 Well I have to say that the decision to rescind the red has made you look like a complete tool after what you said at the start of this thread about Adkins making excuses etc.

I'll come back to you in 17 cup finals time

Ian Royal
bcubed I’m not saying he hasn’t ever been good for us but as you acknowledge in your last para he’s not been up to scratch this season.
I dont want to remember his old set pieces what about his current ones?

Like the corner we scored from against Millwall? What about the one for the second goal against Blackpool?

He also set up Williams against Blackpool and was involved in the set up to Akpan's goal against Bolton.

I didn't say he hadn't been up to scratch this season, I said he hasn't always been up to his best. Those are not the same things. Wednesday is the first game I've seen in over a month so I can't comment on his more recent form, although I've tended to see him praised recently.

Being switched into cenral midfield and playing most of the game with 10 may have had something to do with him not playing at his best against Wednesday. And maybe the conditions had something to do with some disappointing set pieces.

Seems like the same thing to me
Not up to scratch doesn't imply there isn't a range of performance levels, therefore pretty similar to not always at his best

Justice? Common sense? Consistency? I think so. You just don't see professional fouls called in situations like that, and I don't think you should.

Personally, I'm slightly disappointed to realise that I was right all along. I had started to worry that my petulant and juvenile response to the red card on Saturday evening had been through misguided loyalty to the football club, rather than understanding the game of football a little better than some of the posters on here.

I think it's your modesty that stands out the most.

Wrong again - it is only 16 cup finals to go unless we get into the play offs.

Far Canal Some posters on this board need to pay a visit to Specsavers.
Pearce clearly tugged Afobe's shirt, which is a foul. It was in the box, so it is a penalty.

"Denying an obvious goal scoring opportunity" is a sending off offence.
Pearce did just that. Afobe could have got the shot off before Gorkšs got across to make the block (if he hadn't dropped after the tug).

The ref got it right. The red card was justified and if Adkins gets it recinded, I'm a lesbian.
