NathStPaul I'd argue you are the racist if you think my comment has anything to do with him being black. It has everything to do with him not being a good fit for our club at this moment in time and due to him being sulky and workshy.

Didn’t mention anything about race or racism. Just the ‘he must be sold’ and idiotic comment about fanboys

Well Karbota is a known racist who bases all of his comments on race and specifically has an agenda against black people. Disagree with me by all means but don't compare me to that racist bellend. He is on ignore, I wouldn't even know what he'd been saying about Ejaria in recent times.

Examples please!

NathStPaul He should be sold at the earliest opportunity. The Ejaria fanboys are exactly who you'd think they'd be...

You sound like karbota

He clearly adds plenty to the side - granted sounds like he had a shit game last night and was rightly pulled

+ 1 A very fair succinct comment.

Zip
Royal Rother Updated after last night.

Hound Quick count up of results this season, hopefully counted correctly

Record when Ejaria has started

8 wins, 4 draws, 6 defeats. 25 points from 18 games - basically 1.6 points a game

Record when he hasn’t started

22 games, 15 points. 0.7 PPG. I’m sure it’s not a coincidence

And none of those hammerings came when he started either

A mate of mine came along to the game tonight. He thought the attitude of both Joao and Ejaria were very poor. He is not a Reading fan so was neutral.
I have to say that was the worst performance I have seen from Ovie. He was a liability at times and has zero confidence.

The only time I recall him taking on an opponent he took it too far and lost the ball. He also struggled at times to run down the flank and provide Swift with an option.

He can be a joy to watch but he just doesn’t seem at all happy these days.

Have been saying this all season so thank you Mr Non RTG Neutral.

Thats fine Windy. Here are a couple of racists comments that went under the radar

"White British scum" , " India is a feckin disgusting country with its attitude to women" ...

Both made by the same person who is still active on this forum.

Snowflake Royal I would say that Ejaria and Joao both have a physicality at times, Ejaria much more so, that is quite ... relaxed looking. I'd say languid but without or lazy in appearance, without any of the actual lack of effort that goes with it. Deceptively languid maybe.

Leigertwood was similar.

I think that often gets mistaken for actual lack of effort. They definitely aren’t lazy.

Can't think of a white player example off the top of my head.. other than my mate Mike... who is actually lazy quite a bit of the time as well.

Matejovsky?

muirinho Just going to bring an outbreak of "wokism" onto the board.
(1) Scientific studies have shown that commentators and fans alike perceive black players differently to white players - for instance, they are more likely to use the words lazy and sulky about a black player than a white player. Similarly they are more likely to rate black players as athletic and strong, but less likely to rate them as being able to read the game.
Anybody watching the effort Ejaria was putting in last night and still calling him lazy - that rings some alarm bells. I've heard similar for Joao.
Not going to lie, I was EXTREMELY irritated with Ejaria last night - but he's definitely not lazy.
(2) Using "raping" to describe football is teenage idiot boy stuff. It's horrible. Cop on, and cut it out.

1 - Agree. "Arrogant" I thought was another term more likely to be used for black players although I may be mistaken (?).

2 - Agree again. Fair point. My bad. Apologies to HNA.

paultheroyal Great win last night, enjoyed the entertainment on show.

Azeez - this kid is some talent and we have not seen him fully on show yet. Absolutely vital that a contract is sorted out for this lad. We do not want another Antonio scenario. (although slightly different). Make it happen Reading FC.

Big plus one to this! Once some of his decision making and final ball gets a little better with more experience and first team game time he has the potential to light up the Championship.

We just need to tie him down to a 2 year deal with the option of a third year then for now. It shouldn't be an impossible task, nor should it be to tie down a fair few of our players over the summer either.

Azeez is very young and raw and there`s no doubting he`s talented but when he got in behind their defence and fluffed the pull back it resulted in them breaking fast and missing a glorious chance, he got away with one there.

I do wonder if sometimes PL players who come down expect that the Championship is going to be easy, and they can phone in a performance - and some of them get the hump when that turns out not to be the case.

His legs were gone most probably but he couldn't pass and positioning seemed all over the place. I do remember the only bit of energy he showed was running the length of the pitch to berate one of his colleagues.

Also Michael O'Neill when was on load for us was just dreadful. An absolute passenger.

Was it him who gifted Port Vale (bottom of the table, and winless for ages) a goal at Elm Park, by just standing with the ball at his feet in the area, and allowing their guy to just run from behind him and nick it off him?

Think you've missed the point leon. Players who look lazy but aren’t.

Not players who look busy but do f all.
