Victor Meldrew Just read the Daily Mail report on our game plus a bit from Marcus-my how how profile has risen with The Press.
The report was quite good and the ratings were interesting in that he gave Bikey9,Hunt8 and Seol............4 the same as their useless Anichebe.
Many of our posters seemed to think he had a good game but I think we are back to the Meaker Syndrome.
We become so used to moderate performances that anything just slightly better than moderate is pounced upon and suddenly some fans are calling it good.
The rating of 4 may be a bit harsh but for his overall impact on the game I would put him at best on 6 and possibly on 5.

th edaily mail

such a paragon or reporting virtues

not sure i respect anything that paper says or does
he got plenty of good scores in the other paper

and i would rather trust the evidence of my own eyes, which showed him have an improved game in te area of workrate tracking back, tackling and generally getting stuck in and trying his heart out

thanks

My point was that a NEUTRAL observer gave the sort of marks we might have given for Bikey and Hunt and for Amichebe so why would he be so far out for Seol.
Maybe your eyes shouldn't be trusted.

BBC Gossip page Midfielder Seol Ki-Hyeon is staying at Reading, despite buying a house near Fulham's training ground. (Various)

What an idiotic thing to report. Do they not know that he moved there because of the south korean community there?!? Doesn't mean that he's going to play for Fulham, the f*cking media idiots.

Given that Hunt and Fae managed about one decent cross between them yesterday that I can remember (a free header from a cross by Fae flashed well wide by Doyle  ) I do genuinely hope that we can be pissed off with some quality delivery by Seol next weekend against a side who are about as good on crosses as Jesus Christ. How long is Seol expected to be out for?

Actually, that's probably not the best analogy seeing as Christ himself rose again before ultimately dying. I do hope that could be a metaphor this season for West Ham's crooked escape last term 8) .

he was pretty shit on the cross, only lasted a few hours, most people managed several days.

You have to say, great come back by the lad though. Or am I confusing him with Lazarus? Or perhaps Elvis Presley? Elvis Presley > Jesus Christ.
