Think that’s right, where did these media rumours stem from?

genome They have underperformed, but I'd say that's due to coaching issues.

It's not that they don't care or aren't arsed. In fact I think it'd be hard to find players who don't care. That's one of those things that gets levelled at players which I get frustrated with. It's their livelihood, and they wouldn't have reached the 2nd tier of English football if they didn't give a shit.

Most of the time it's either coaching issues or just that they aren't quite good enough.

Yep, at times they've looked lost, beaten, devoid of ideas or lacking confidence.

But they've almost never looked like they weren't trying or didn’t care. The worst you could say about most is that when the going gets tough they know they're beaten and they don't have the strength of will to keep going at 100% to the whistle the whole time.

The exception being Drinkwater.

Local lad at the Chronicle, then SSN jumped on it, then GetReading too. Oh and then Nicko at the Dun joined in with Gilkes taking over in the interim.

If these rumours of Pauno being sacked this morning were false then the fact everyone has jumped on it and created a news story might help make it a reality.

This is a prime example of too much information being available to everyone nowadays.

I remember when I used to just go on Ceefax at the end of the day to see if there was any news.

It's being reported by legit journalists like Pete O'Rourke and Alex Crook. They're not just gonna base it on a couple of tweets on the Reading FC hashtag. Alex Crook broke the Moore/Ince story, so he knows what he's talking about. Be patient.

Yep, as soon as I got in from school and later work, with a cuppa and some rich tea to duck while I looked and hoped we had a headline on there. Good times. The Tommy Burns (RIP) magnificent seven was an exciting day (LOL in hindsight).

Yes. An incredibly handsome stranger handed me his username and password at the Coventry game.

These reports wouldn't come from just one or two twitter rumours. At least one source from within the club has told respected journalist that Pauno is gone.

Maybe the owners are wrapping up the new manager arrangements before announcing. You know how the Chinese hate focusing on failure.

The delay in the announcement might be a positive. If the club are taking the time to get a decent manager in before Wednesday then I can handle the wait.

Perhaps you’re right. Pulled you up singling him out as the only one. Bristol was pathetic aside from the last 15 minutes with the players looking as lethargic and disinterested as ever. He didn’t feature until that last 15 minutes

The entire team gave up against Fulham. Drinkwater was taken off at 3-0. Impact far extends beyond one player
