P!ssed Off If he stayed despite offers for him then there's little doubt that this was only because the buying club offered a lower wage than he's already on.

Westwood52 Pog is not on £250k a month-that was on a performance based contract; largely dependant on us staying in the Prem-more likely to be between £20k and £30k a week.

blythspartan I am glad that the Pog is staying.
I think that he has been suffering from a major lack of confidence.
We should organise a Pog Day where we show him that we want him here, which might help his confidence. We could wear blond wigs, or come up with some Russian theme.
I still remember when he first burst on the scene for Fulham and he looked quality. I remember Spurs fans at work complaining that they had signed the wrong Russian.

The Goat was fed I've been thoroughly unimpressed with his application this year, but like a few others have pointed out - JUST BECAUSE YOU ARE BIG DOES NOT MEAN YOU ARE AUTOMATICALLY OBLIGED TO WIN HEADERS/BE A TARGET MAN.
His strengths lie not in aerial dominance, but with the ball at his feet. His strength is apparent when he has the ball on the deck, holding off defenders and laying it off, or turning to get a strike on goal.
If he starts, I'm willing to give him a fresh start under Adkins - who in theory should be encouraging balls to his feet. If he still looks pony, then he's an overpaid knob who can be written off as a failure and, to some extent, a good example of how big wages don't guarantee big talent.

fruits I agree with the posters the club is taking us for mugs. Who would be interested in buying him? He can´t make our first team so he must be rubbish.
As far as I can see the club is on a hiding to nothing, with his present attitude. He doesn´t want to play, still has too high an opinion of his skills, he will continue to collect about 250k a month, basically for doing nothing.
Reading´s options are basically pay the Pig off, which may be the best option, get him out of the way thus reducing any tension with the other players. But very expensive. Try to get shot of him promising to pay half of his wages until the end of his contract , but which club would even want him at the super super reduced price is hard to see.
It is a fine old mess. The Pig might do the honourable thing admit he is taking money under false pretences, get his backside into gear and try to recover his form which would help RFC in the short term and might secure him a move in January thus helping his long term prospects.
There is little or no honour in the world now, especially in sport. So do not expect the Pig to do the honourable and right thing and work his socks off for his employer.

When he did make appearances he was under instruction to not try as much.

Blatantly. He's got three more years of easy money.
