Maguire Dull game but Reading were marginally the better side. Yeovil created little of note as did we.

Drenthe was shocking, Williams easily the best player once he came on. My first game of the season so hard to see why he doesn't start.

Fella saying McCArthy saved us is blind, he had nothing to do.

You didn't see him tip the ball round the post from the deflected shot? It was a top save.
Must be mad if you think we were the better side. Created only one decent chance- by diving!

Soft soft penalty. But LOL @ saying that's diving and cheating.

Yep just seen it. VERY soft. Can't quite tell if it's a dive from that angle.

One save? Big fooking deal. Hardly fits your description at all.

Yeah, going nowhere, but you're a plank if you get physical with a striker running towards goal in the box and you have to except that if they go down, then you could be in trouble. ALF legitimate in going down, even if he only did it under a bit of physical pressure and because he wasn't going to achieve anything else.

They only had 4 shots on target for christ sake. How exactly does that fit your description that "The clean sheet was down soley to McCarthy and their best player being injured."? If all it takes is one quality save for a clean sheet to be solely down to the keeper, keepers would always be player of the season.

And so what if it was. McCarthy is still one of our players. It's still a clean sheet. As for the bit about diving. I've seen that. You're talking out your arse.

General play we were a bit better as the away side but it was not an inspiring contest. They were there for the taking but we had no drive. Daft to say the created loads though as they clearly didn't.

Three points banked that we don't have to scrabble around for at the business end of the season.

Nice solid result against a team and club that has done extremely well to get itself into the second tier of English professional football.

Keep 'banking' Reading. Doesn't really matter how you do it as long as the coin keeps coming in.

Nice.

Todays match showed once again that we are deficient in many departments and do not have the squad to play Adkins' rigid tactics. On paper, RFC should have beaten Yeovil about 4-0. In reality, we were lucky to get a penalty and otherwise the goal-threat was very much them against us. We do not currently have a squad capable of winning the Championship or being promoted although we do have a handful of players who are worthy of that. I hope that some semblance of sense will make the Owners open the wallet in the last couple of days of the Transfer Window but, unfortunately, we have already missed the best deals!

The last bit of your post spoilt the rest. How do you know the wallet isn't open and players simply do not want to come here? I keep saying it. I bet they have attempted to get players to come here but can't persuade them to play for Reading.

No doubt we will get last minute bargain's or players on loan come Monday night.
