Says the man who was questioning how good she was days before his own club signed her for a record fee.

Not content with destroying the men's game they are doing the same to the women. Hopefully she will turn out to be the female Torres .

Royal Rother Seems like she feels she owes the club a lot so I think she'll stay and finish the job this season.

As I said during the WC, as the profile of the women's game grows, it is inevitable that more of the men's game will rub off on the women's game than the other way round unfortunately.

Kirby's departure seems a pretty fair indication that it's started already.

Good luck to her but that's a real shame.

From what I've heard, she's behaved appallingly since the World Cup.

A bit of BBC air time has clearly gone to her head.

Isn't the female Torres just Torres before he got a haircut?

I can still question how good she is. But there's no doubt she's joined a MASSIVE club.

Probably the single biggest piece of treachery in the history of Reading FC. One goal at the world cup and she's off to Chelsea before her flight's even landed.

If I see her in Sainsbury's i'm going to booooooooo in her face.

She won't be seen dead in Sainsbury she'll be shopping in Waitrose from now on.

Which is ironic in itself.

Obviously wish her good luck for the future but you have to wonder why she's chosen the most corporate, least likeable, generally all round saddest club around.
Would have felt more confident if she had opted to chose somewhere based on it's history, tradition or ethos rather than just go where the money is.
Oh well.

It's not the same as the men's team, We're not talking about a £20k a week player leaving us for £50k elsewhere, It's more like a £20k a year player leaving us for a £50k a year salary which can make a big difference to their life and that of their family. Now if Reading FC were prepared to match that I might feel she should stay, but good luck to her.

Shame that the pace, skill and strength of the men's game hasn't rubbed off on the women's game 8)
