From Despair To Where? Apparently the fans have started to turn against him and his tactics and, given their resources and expectations, 4 defeats in a row isn't great.

Away at Sutton tomorrow, if they lose that then it might get interesting but really would expect normal service to be resumed. After that they've got out of form Notts County at home on Saturday. They win both of them and everyone will conveniently forget the hiccup.

Go on their forum. They've clearly a hugely entitled bunch but when you see comments like "Parky's on spice", "Parky's trying to get fired", turgid football", "nothing without set pieces", talk of dressing room discontent, sentimental contracts, brainless substitutions, poor signings, it's not beyond reason that his job could be under threat. The majority of their fans seem to expect automatic promotion and they have owners who have got them where they are essentially by throwing money at the club.

And throwing money is no guarantee of success as we well know. Parky has done a bloody good job there; if they sack him I hope the next guy gives them a reality check.

If they sack him for drifting away from automatics, I hope the entitled pricks get relegated back to the Conference again next season.

Who do they think they are? Birmingham?

meh, file under football fans being dicks, see also David Moyes under pressure and being under pressure for months with west ham fans wanting him out despite being in a period of success. No doubt Parky will be sacked soon. And a more glamorous manager will be brought in to fit their perceived profile only for things to go to shit.

West Ham fans have always been knuckledragging morons with delusions of grandeur, so that's no surprise.

Junior Hoilett, who's apparently been training with us, has signed for Colin at Aberdeen.

Reading legend Dave Kitson has stepped down as chairman of Arlesey Town Football Club - and is actively looking to become a chairman or director of a Berkshire-based club. :?

Only just realised when I saw the Scottish Premier highlight programme last night that Jordon Obita has ended up at Hibs!

A regular starter but doesn't seem to be setting the world on fire there.

Obita's doing ok at Hibs, one of their better performers but they've been absolutely shocking this season.

Adam Le Fondre's at Hibs also. Their Director of Football is Brian McDermott.

Was thinking about the players in recent years we’ve lost before they could make an impact.

Thierry Nevers is one of them. Best remembered for this ridiculous piece of football: https://www.reddit.com/r/soccer/comment ... y_thierry/

If he’d stuck with us he’d probably have had a similar amount of opportunity to Azeez. Instead he went to West Ham, and had a couple of uneventful loan spells. Now playing in Transnistria. If you’re thinking “that’s not a country”, correct - it’s a Putin-sponsored breakaway region of Moldova.

The flip side is Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, who is still only 19 (same age as Vickers) but has made 15 appearances in the Bundesliga for Dortmund this season.

Also in the Bundesliga was Jordi Osei-Tutu, a full-back who jumped ship to Arsenal, had some Championship loans and then ended up with Bochum. In January he got sent on loan to Giannina, who are currently 12th/14 in the Greek top flight.

Speaking of Greece, Jordan Holsgrove is an Olympiakos player, but is spending this season on loan at Estoril, who are 14th/18 in the Portuguese top flight. He seems to be a regular, and is playing alongside Eliaquim Mangala. Better standard than League One.

Diamond Edwards is 20, and missed a year due to an ACL injury, but hasn’t hugely pushed on at Southampton. Under contract until summer 2025 - if we lose Knibbs in the summer then he’s the sort of player we could look at taking on loan.

Feels too early to judge Princewell Ehibhationham, Imari Samuels, Luca Fletcher, and obviously Vickers and Harris.

Dom Samuel came on as a late sub for National League Ebbsfleet Utd at Dorking Wdrs on Sat. ... and scored.

Has just moved back south after a couple of years up in 'chilly Jocko-land' with Ross County.

Yea interesting review - bit of a shame on Holsgrove as he was starting to look useful and jumped ship before making the first team

Think he got some useful chances in pre-season, then we immediately signed a bunch of no hopers that meant he'd be nowhere near the squad and decided he'd rather leave and try his hand elsewhere. It was towards the end of the period where we were just throwing away young talent so we could sign aging failures who'd once had a sniff of the PL
