I feel the same as Floyd about E-P.

On the same basis I'd want Floyd to destroy me. :(

Well at least now we know for certain that this was the wrong decision.

Is that based on Leeds' superb season?

Ok. I'll bite.

Spot on.

With Brian, we wouldn't have had the transfer kitty carpet pulled from under his feet, AZ would still be here, we wouldn't have had an injury-plagued season, we'd be beating offers for Drenthe from ManU, Chelsea, and Bayern away with a stick, Pog would have had a 70 goal season, McCarthy would be packing his bags for Brazil,

Global warming would have been proven to be merely a faulty thermostat at the Met office, the recession would have proven to be a crafty plan by Vladimir Putin to try and destabilise western economies, for which he subsequently apologised, retired from politics and now manages a Spud-U-Like outlet in Letchworth.

The extension to the Madstad would be nearing completion, and advance sales of season tickets would be in the region of 177,000.
Summers would be warmer, and even Eastenders would have the odd episode witha happy ending.

Cue music...../ fade in.......... Jerusalem, Jer ru salem, in Berk---shires green and plea- -sant laaaand..../fade out

McDermott's long ball wouldn't have made us any better FFS. Get over it and move on!

In fairness there would have been a camaraderie and a spirit to the team left over from winning the championship, meaning we probably would have got play-offs at least.

What happened to this "intelligent" brand of football Adkins was supposed to bring in? This advanced football that Brian was apparently too limited to understand? All I saw was a season full of total dross including a failure to beat 8 man Yeovil at home.

With the wage bill afforded to Adkins he managed 7th place. Brian won the league on less. Says it all.

Because over the first part of the season the team didn't know it's arse from it's elbow, despite having almost everyone fit. Adkins was imposing a style no-one wanted or could play and we dropped points. When you consider how close it was at the end this season those early points would have seen us over the line.

As Mags says, Brian did A LOT BETTER with much less.

Doesn't say what you think it does though....

Adkins didn't sign a single player, and most of the wage bill was either left over from mcDermott's failed Premiership season or going to Anton's glamour signings. Adkin's signings were the ones sat waiting on deadline day waiting for Anton to sign cheques for that never happened.
