ZacNaloen I don't think it's affecting the transfer budget, the change in income is massive compared to what we were on to more than cover shrew transfer work.

What it will affect is the promised infrastructure works, the stadium, the training ground etc.

The Cat 1 Academy...?

We have applied for Cat 1 EPPP status along with Saints, West Ham, M'Boro, Watford and Palace.

DOYLERSAROYALER ..or could be another of Fordhams ploys to ham up readership numbers .... will probably be to the point and say "blah blah blah blah......hopefully next week " :D

Chances are we'll hear "all is well", "club is happy with progress", "we expect it to go through next week", or Fordham piggy backs what FL posted yesterday - "The delay is all down to proof of funding and nothing else. It's very complicated due to Chris Samuelson covering real investors." and "Anton has been out of the country on a jolly with his wife in the States for a week."

Chances it's something we don't already know? Slim, but hopeful.

The fact that he hasn't promoted this and has only mentioned it in a single reply tells me there's not much to say about this. End of the week anyone?

You'll be @MikeMack1977 then. Is it a scoop? All he says is he has news.

Don't forget Fordham talks to McDermott etc during media day on Wednesday's, I don't think you actually give him enough credit!

That doesn't mean anything. McDermott is as likely to tell Fordham as much as he would the man on the street who stops for a chat with him. The club will do all they can to not give anything away. Brian made out he knew nothing of Le Fondre but then a week later he signs. Generally speaking, Fordham is a poor hack. However this could be because he cannot dig deep into the clubs business because they need to maintain a good, healthy relationship. So he will never dig deep enough in case he rocks the boat.

For being able to talk?

Listen, he only prints what the football club approves first. If he speculates about players coming in he clearly takes content from here, but others seem to think that's ok. Me, I prefer to see someone actually build relationships with contacts; i.e. other journalists, and then retweet and print what he has heard from proven sources, rather than Jo Public on a football forum where on occasion they have purposely stitched him up and seen their rumours appear in the local rag! That's why he loses credibility!

I'm not expecting much from today's article. The Daily Mail story they're building will apparently tell us more.

leon Allegedly a rival bid has come in - Fordham is filing a story on RFC being bought by a Russian Steel magnet, although I'm not sure the process alloys it.

There's a hefty penalty Fe for reneging on the deal. Having metal the TSI investors and given them his word, a serious business magnet and proud pole like JM isn't going to pull out of the deal now.

I mentioned it last week as they are building a story about the takeover. I don't think I've ever mentioned them other than that.

How do you know other papers aren't? The Daily Telegraph were all over us as soon as we secured promotion, so they are almost certainly digging. I only know about the DM through a friend.

From Football Rumours website - would not normally take any notice but it does have a ring of truth about it.

10 May 2012 13:52:44
Reading takeover by the Thames Sport Investment group halted after it emerges Zingarevich only has £30mill which is not considered enough by Madejski. Madejski was initially promised Anton's father, Boris, would be involved. However, due to the recession, Zingarevich senior has lost over 15% of his wealth, and so no longer wishes to throw money at his son's favourite football team.

LOL, so Boris has only just realised that the recession has cost him 15% of his wealth?

Problem with that rumour is that it's quite believable

We know Anton doesn't have much money of his own.

Funny. It has a ring of complete BS to me.
