Handsome Man Can't be arsed to wade through 16 pages, but I was impressed by Kevin Doyle celebrating his goal against us, and delighted to see him miss the open-goal.

He came over and applauded the Reading fans after the game too.

Respectful enough to wheel away to the side of the pitch and celebrate rather than celebrate behind the goal where RFC fans were in the upper tier. Good enough balance for me.

Williams is becoming the new Sidwell with his drive from midfield and now starting to score goals.
BTW his goal was a carbon copy of Swansea's goal at Everton.
The difference in the two sides was the energy and pace from midfield where our 4 were so much quicker than their 4 , particularly centrally.

Two mediocre defences that would get slaughtered in the Premier League but today ,once again playing the McDermott/ Coppell way , we were deserving winners and I liked McCleary's modesty when interviewed.

Yep, all credit must go to Coppell and McDermott for inventing 4-4-2. Shocked NA has never used it before in his managerial career tbh.

Not the formation or style of play you and others were saying he was going to bring in.

Did anyone feel that Williams' 'Jedward' played some sort of part in his goal. It seemed to allow him to cushion the header and then it sprang off his hair.

He hasn't had the backing that I thought he was going to get.

As it is, he's adapted, and got the team playing organised, effective, yet attacking football. Like he has done at previous clubs. Granted it's not a million miles away from how we were playing 4 years ago, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

Today was a motivated, structured, organised team against a more talented group of players who weren't any of those things. Lets give our current manager a little bit of credit for that.

Had to laugh at when the 5 minute board went up there were no 'fakes' left in the ground...

In Harry they trust..........(but not for late comebacks clearly)

I'm not knocking the manager ,in fact I respect that he had the courage (or lack of funds!!) to change the way we play.
BTW they were all McDermott's players bar Williams today weren't they?

Alf, Gorkss, Gunter, Akpan, McLeary, Pog, and Kelly are the ones McDermott brought in.

Jobi was a Rodgers signing.

Williams an Adkins signing.

The other 5 are academy products, and what a fantastic testament to the work that has gone on behind the scenes, from the Chairman all the way down to the youth coaches, that we are able to say that.

Yup, although lets be totally fair to Adkins he's been allowed to sign three on permanent deals and 1 of them is crocked.

Not sure I'd call Obita or Hector 'McDermott players' tbh. Both have only really come through this season.

I didn't see that, but the atmosphere was particularly agitated for some reason.

Great win, not a flawless performance, but we were the better side. After the sending off, we were brilliant.

Great day out again and as the poster said LOL at the fakey fans swinging punches at each other as the stewards watched on.

We really deserved that today every player deserves a 9/10. I think Gareths screamer out does the goal scored by Matejosky (You know who I mean) at Anfield a few years back.

Good day out
