If people go to reserve games to form an opinion then fair play.

But I have my doubts in a lot of cases.

For the record I don't go to reserve games because I can't be arsed. But then I don't give opinions about things I'm in no position to give opinions about.

Players out on loan

by Man Friday » 26 Jan 2009 13:44

Why does the official site mention Emerse Fae when describing the whereabouts of players out on loan? I thought he'd joined Nice on a permanent deal following a long loan.

I don't think we were told when the deal would actually be made permanent - only that Nice had agreed to sign him.

Yeah, they can pay the fee at any time within the loan, i think they have just agreed to sign him, so technically it is still a loan deal atm

Poor bloke had awful luck up there.... first two games postponed, got a dead leg on his debut and went off injured on Saturday in his second game so Stockport decided he may as well return early.

I go to reserve matches, and I have spoken to Australians who have seen him out there. Now they haven't seen a great deal of development of players like we do, as soon as a player with talent shows up he's shipped out, so their estimates tend to be less accurate (not saying that Europeans' estimates are accurate btw), but they reckon he could be an Australia international much like his father.

Personally I think he'll be a League 1/2 player, maybe lower Championship. He's better than Robson-Kanu IMO but neither player is anywhere near Henry.

Hmm....the old "undisclosed fee" again.
I wonder how much we lost on him regardless of the weaker pound against the euro value of over a year ago.

Behave. Who the heck thought we'd get that? More like £1m at a push.

There was an agreed purchase fee in the loan deal which was apparently 3m euros.
