Harpers So Solid Crew
SteveRoyal Sky Sports seem to think Hull will sign both Hunt and another lad tomorrow - which paves the way for Smith and McAnuff to head our way.

why would we need hunt to go to sign new players??

Frees up some wages....

Hunt's wanted away for ages and has whored himself out to any club that might make an offer

Everton?
Spurs?

Sunderland surely?

Ok then

Portsmouth?

Fcuks sake

Hull

The only club that wanted him has been the club that just about every player they wanted has turned down this summer.

It's a good move for all the parties involved as Hammond said, it was time for him to move on and he gets to play in the premiership. Good luck to him as he did play a big role at the club in fairness and we got a good fee in the end for a player we signed on a free.

Once Coppell said he'd be happy with 11 Steve Hunt's in his team.

Confirmed on OS.

Bye Hunty, thanks for the good times when you were brilliant - a little fiery bundle of energy, passion and commitment.

With all three of those things missing last season, there was little you had to offer and you were struggling to justify your place in the team, even with no natural replacement. Good luck in the prem - I think you are going to need it unless you can capture your form of earlier times.

My favourite quote:

Nicky of Hammond said:

"Stephen Hunt has been a very effective player in the four years he has been at Reading Football Club"

I would like to be remembered for being a bit more than effective!

Bye!

Not quite true, is it? He'd have been off last season if he hadn't had the £5m release clause in his contract. No club wanted him at that value, and we didn't want to sell him for less.

He hasn't looked arsed for some time here so he had to go and the jubilation of many on here shows why.

But when he can be bothered, he's good enough to be our player of the season in a side finishing 8th in the premiership. On that basis, I hope he proves his worth for Hull who seem like a fairly hardworking kind of club and wish them both luck.

Kitson showed he was worth more to Reading than to any other club - the right fit you might call it. Hunt's proven in the last 2 seasons he's not worth that much (until now!) to Reading but I think he'll prove worth the money at Hull if he can keep himself driven enough and I expect he will.

So, it's good bye, good riddance and good luck.

It remains to be seen whether Hunt makes a name for himself at Hull or whether he pales into insignificance like some of our other "big" players - personally, I reckon the only recent ex-Royal who might go on to prove himself at Prem level is Doyle, assuming he can stay injury free.

So what's a 'sizeable fee' then?

Why it is always us who's involved in undisclosed transfer fees?

Anyway, hoping that means £2.5m+

I'm sure he'll have negotiated a "get out" clause should Hull be relegated...
