Hound ...Not like he’s gone in and just torn up his contract and walked away without a pay off

or ...

He did exactly that after Fulham but he's got a 1 month notice clause in his contract.
So Dai said "breach of contract" you're working your notice or we sue.
Which brings us nicely to 14th Feb.

Do manager's contracts typically have notice clauses and, if so, for ho long?
Who knows!

Given how often managers get sacked it's pretty unlikely notice periods mean anything other than how much of your contract you get paid up.

I meant the other way round - to stop managers walking out on the club a la Pardew.

Pauno: I've had enough of this (e.g. wanting to play Moore - told he can't). I'm off.
Club: Nope, that leaves us in the lurch. Work your notice or give us compensation.
Pauno: Drat. Ok I'll work my notice while you line up a replacement.

Explains his "stuff behind the scenes" comments.
And (as was mentioned earlier in the thread) would explain people "expecting hom to leave" today after a month but ...

Whoever Kia / Dai had lined up turned them down last minute forcing them to ask Pauno to carry on (specially with Posh in 2 days time).

P.S. Above is crap but it's been a long day

We don’t seem to have any internal structure within the club. It just seems so amateurish.

Some random Leicester fan claiming to be friends with a Reading U18 player is claiming Pauno has been sacked

I think I'm going crazy

The time we did under Bowen we were actually seemingly on the up at that point. Having said that, the board would argue that last season we had a DoF (Dayong Pang) as well as Pauno and finished 7th so that would be used as an improvement and they keep labelling the "unprecedented circumstances" this season.

I don't think the board believe what they've done in the last 1 and a bit seasons is actually wrong up until now.

I liked Bowen as DoF. Gomes was a poor manager but they kind of relationship seemed positive

Bowen seemed to have a decent line into Dai as well. It’s always felt a bit fragile since Bowen took the manager role

Maybe there are clauses, but I'd be surprised if the 'compensation' amounted to any more than not having to pay him a penny more, just like if you or I walked out of our job tomorrow.

What do we think then, will he be gone tomorrow? Or will he be in the dug out on Wednesday still?

I would like to say there is no way he can be in the dugout given the speculation surrounding him, even if he's still technically the manager. However, this is Reading FC we are talking about. There will probably be all sorts of denials and sweeping of things under carpets.

All I know is we are fcuked regardless of if Paunovic is sacked or not. He is solely responsible for the crap on the pitch but the issues go way further than him. The owner has buried his head in the sand, entrusting the club to a crooked super agent and his mates. We as supporters are at his mercy and he will no doubt fcuk us all over. We cannot let him, friends and foes alike need to come together to stand up for the one thing we have in common and that is the football club.

"On the up"? Bowen won just 5 home games from October and we had some shockers. Mullered 0-3 by Wigan at home and as for the Swansea game. Should have pulled the trigger on him the moment the season ended.
The very very last manager who had us on the up was sadly the Scottish traitor in the 15/16 when we were on a roll. Football was good and we were really were making progress. He looked like he was starting to build something.

I honestly feel like today has been more of an embarrassment than either Kidderminster of Fulham. Just ashamed to be involved with a club that can't publicly admit that it has a manager that no one (including himself) wants to be there, but for some ridiculous reason he is.

He isn't going. He will be in the dugout until they find a replacement. Don't think the owners trust anyone in the backroom.
