• The Republic of Ireland Under-21 internationalist was outstanding for the Hoops in the last 16 UEFA Champions League games against AC Milan in 2006/07.
• Darren continued to be a major part of the Celtic squad in the following season as he won the SPL title and again featured in massive European games.
• In 2008/09, the Irishman played at full-back and central defence. He scored the opening goal in Celtic's 2-0 Co-operative Insurance Cup final win over Rangers.

O'Dea is versatile. He can play full back and centre back. Pearce is also very highly thought of, and Rodgers gives players a chance, unlike yourself. I would expect O'Dea to have to earn his right to play.
