Seems stuff ain't as cut and dry as the fans think.
Crit 1: changing the team all the time
- sounds like he wants a firmer 11 but circumstance has forced his hand
Crit 2: confusing subs
- seems like there is more to the story on the occasions he's been deemed making the 'wrong' substitutions
Crit 3: style/performance
- sounds like we are a few pieces short of the jigsaw. That can't have been helped by the lack of finances.
His options?
1) Try and install his style with the players he's got for the time being and build when he can, VS
2) play with a style more suited to the players he has and change the style when he has the right players in.
Can't really blame him for going with (1), hindsight is a wonderful thing.
If he can't bring in the right players in Jan, then he needs to change course. If he can then great - let's hope the pieces complete his picture and we can kick on. Either way, its only right he is given a go in the second half of the season.
My view is nowt to do with Adkins personally. I'd be saying this of any manager. Not being a Chelsea fan or particularly interested in the popfan revolving door approach to management, I find it fairly easy to look at football a bit more rationally.
