He's new so is acting like a breath of fresh air, revitalising everything and helping us put previous travails behind us to progress.

We've more direction in what we do, we're better organised, we're more direct, we've got a higher tempo and we're pressing higher up the pitch and as a team.

We've still got problems. I thought we allowed Norwich to play between our lines too easily for example. But the attitude is better and with this group of players that should be plenty to be ok. Make it to the summer gaining experience, move on some dead weight and strengthen in a couple of key areas.

The return of Guthrie and Karacan could be very fortuitously timed to help Clarke too. Taking us from a powderpuff paperthin midfield to one of the strongest on paper in the divisio .

So basically sacking Adkins was the right thing to do?

It was a reasonable call i wouldn't have made. I still think most of his problems had been out of his control and he'd have kept us up and sorted us out eventually.

Clarke's given us the opportunity to mentally refocus and united the fans again. That's the biggest benefit and reason to have changed.

Oh absolutely. The 1-6 drubbing to Birmingham was conclusive proof that he was turning it around. Last season it was 0-6 against Posh so some decent progress made in that respect.

I liked the answer Ian, I thought it was a very stupid contradictory answer and the stupidity made me laugh.

Vintage Ian Royal.

Silver Fox Correctly whelmed, he did a decent enough job at WBA, not like anyone was expecting a massive name where they?

yea stunning lololol, lost almost half his games in charge.

Typical Reading Fan Silver Fox all excited until the facts arrive.

He's a Yes man who's cheap and can't spend what isn't there, ala McD Adkins

Well well right again  Silver Fox your RTG glasses are available at Specsavers in the morning

Is it really fair to judge managers who are in charge of always-under-pressure "small" Premiership teams?

If Leicester come down, is the manager no good?

Say what you like about our manager Steve Clarke, but if the day job doesn't pan out, he'll certainly have an alternative career with a chain saw as an effective 'tree surgeon' Good work thus far that man!

Gotten rid of those we needed to the most bar 1. Replaced and improved all areas apart from GK, where he brought in 2 error-prone keepers. Most promising (not sure if Its the right word) signing that we've seen is McShane. We are still desperately short in attack, especially now we've just offloaded Pavel Pogrebnyak - you might remember him?

Still need a couple more but a few days left.

Our best buy this window is probably the sale of Pogrebnyak.
