surely its got to be Curbishley, his post xmas collapses are more spectacular than Coppells.

Failing that get Trevor 'The Elastic Spastic' Senior back at the club.

Claudio Ranieri for a laugh
More realistically Curbs - has the right attitude, used to budget constraints
Would be fairly happy with an "up and coming" like Rodgers or Ferguson
Would prefer not to have some old premiershipship has-been (Curbs excepted obviously!) or someone with sentimental links with Reading only...

I'm pretty sure that Alan Curbishley was quoted fairly recently (pre Keane's appointment at Ipswich) saying that he'd not take a job outside the Premier League. It would be a decent appointment, but I'd be surprised.

Personally, i would welcome a manager that can deliver the style of football that Jan Poortvliet did at Southampton - minus the relegation of course!

Please not Sanchez or Boothroyd.

"Direct" Football is great when things are going you're way....but when they're not a team's deficiencies are easily magnified. This has been all too clear since January.

Sky sports has just said that Gus Poyet is interested.

Must admit he's been a sucess most places he's been and he lives local

According to some bookies a lot of "informed" money has been placed on Rogers that have seen his odds drop as low as evens with some bookies.

I'm feeling physically sick.

Coppell walks away and we're discussing relative cretins as possible replacements who at best will achieve what Coppell achieved at his lowest and darkest hour - playoffs.

It feels a bit like being dumped.

I want to f**king puke.

Looks like all the money is for Rodgers at the moment.

Both Tisdale and Poyet have been touted on Sky Sports.

Would be happy with any of those 3 tbh, and if we do look to promote from within then Dolan would be a sound choice also.

The future's bright, the future's blue and white.

Put MVP in charge. I could do with a good laugh. And then deport the fuckwit to Australia.
