Fair enough good business, he's no way worth £5m. However, Coppell must now go out and get Surman from Soton.

LOL @ Wigan, Heskey and Palacios off, two of their best players and Hunt and Mido in who are both rubbish in the Premiership. Great business!

It's the way it goes, they've offered the right price, a decent price and there was a clause in his contract.

So long, farewell, auf wiedersehen, goodbye...

Tabb is Hunt's replacement. I'd love to see Surman, but it won't happen.

We will miss Hunt, dispite what so many seem to think. His tempo is important, he takes full backs on, creates time and space for our other players.

However no way on Earth is he worth £5m, though I hope we aren't talking about our failure to replace Hunt in the summer.

We're looking to bring one more player in and its gonna be Campbell Ryce and peas or Surman i reckon. Hunt will accept anything they offer him as he just wants a premiership badge on his shirt

True, 5m is a great price.
If he was going to go, may as well squeeze as much as we can out of the deal.

And fair play to him. I'd do the same.

£5m is a good price for Hunt, but will mean diddly-squat if it just sits in our bank account.

£5 million was the least he could go for according to his contract.

That's not good enough, we need more than Tabb and Kebe to get promoted. I'm pretty sure Tabb isn't naturally left footed is he ?

I see Tabb as Convey's replacement.

Not quite, it's the least we were obliged to accept. We could have taken less if we'd wanted.

Could be a very good move for us, he simply hasn't played well for us in the last month or so. Yes he's set up a large amount of goals but you'd hope that a winger given the task of taking every single set piece around the area would do.

So he has done exactly what we wanted him to then. :?:

We WILL miss Hunt.

5mil is a great price. despite some dodgy performances of late there is no doubt that we will miss him and he has been a great character to have in our side. thanks for all you have done hunty.

right, so coppell said he wants to bring 2 in at the start of jan. that was on the presumption noone was going to leave. so now hunty is off and we already have tabb which coppell did say wasnt hunts replacement i would like to see 2 of these 3 players:

surman
JCR
Hreiderson

or if we can offload slong another stiker

LOL @ the obsession that we got £5m and its a good price. Lets just see what we do or don't do with it.

£5m means absolutely nothing if we don't re-invest a good chunk of it.

Exactly.

The Club didn't want him to go, he did, decent bid, met the Club's valuation (with an obvious premium), seems to be accepted, he'll pass the medical and he'll be gone.
It's as easy as that.

We will miss his his delivery from set pieces, but even those haven't been as good recently. From open play he is all huff and puff. His passing is not great, his crossing is not great, his shooting is not great (when was the last goal he scored from distance, or even the edge of the box?). What he does give is 100% effort every match, but he is replaceable.

Like we invested the £5 million for Kits you mean!!! LOL. It's a good bit of business to keep RFC in a healthy position financially, it's not a good bit of business for the team.

Have we missed Kitson though? I don't think so. You only need to reinvest if it is required, there is no point spending money just for the sake of it.

I didn't say we had missed Kitson, I said we didn't re-invest the £5million into the TEAM.
