FiNeRaIn I think the general point about reading fans being too pathetic to care is a good point, cardiff were protesting at risdale yesterday despite being 3rd or whatever it was, lazio at lotito last week, rangers at donald muir, united at the glazers, etc all are sets of fans who live and breathe their clubs and won't be spoon fed crap by the hierarchy's. Reading have have been treated appallingly the last few seasons and have not voiced this with the clubs board, hence the belief they can continue to treat us badly.

That's only valid if you happen to think that the majority of Reading supporters share your particular opinion on how they have been "treated".

Its difficult to fathom with only about 1% posting on HNA. The chants of " where's the money gone" earlier in the season indicated a lot of unrest.

Reading fans haven't been fleeced of £3m for tickets for next season that was supposed to buy them the players to promote them only to see it spent on a tax bill they'd been promised was not a problem.

Reading fans haven't seen their club bought by someone out to make money who's loaded the club with debt.

Our complaints are on the pitch, and frustration that Madejski isn't willing to risk throwing his money at a problem. Those two examples are incomparable to our situation, which is something I hope that the majority of fans are quite capable of recognising.

We were promised previous seasons that our ridiculous season ticket prices would be used to help us be competitive in the transfer market....it wasn't and we weren't. Our season ticket prices are amongst the highest in the division and our net spend on players this season amongst the lowest. Thats not acceptable.

Its also not acceptable for a club in the prem two years ago to be in the relegation places in the championship due to poorly run finances by the hierarchy which made any task for its team manager almost impossible due to ridding the squad of most of its better players. Even if 2/3 wanted to go. Why build brick by brick then knock down with a sledge hammer?
Madejski will see what the fans think of his management of the club when season tickets are down 3/4k next season ( in the championship) and probably even more if we get relegated.

Not when it doesn't attack the argument in hand. This debate has nothing to do with yesterday. But if we are point scoring over wins/losses, the club are in the relegation zone this season - whose been right...the RTG's or STG's? Think we all know the answer to that.

Surely the low level of those chants and the fact that they've not been repeated wipes your arguement away ?

I don't know if you've noticed but we haven't had many league games at home since then and I can't remember a defeat at home either. Coupled with the fact madejski has been out of the country until recently.

We lost to Palace, quite badly, and there were no chants about money.

Nor at the Leicester defeat.

Are you claiming the protest tipping point is so fine tuned that a draw means the masses are happy whereas a defeat drives them into a frenzy regarding the details of the club's accounts ?

I am not sure I agree with you FR. I don't think we have been treated badly at all, in fact we have seen the best times in the club's history. To compare Madejski with the likes of Ridsdale is a bit daft, as Madejski couldn't possibly be more far removed from Ridsdale 'style' of chairmanship. I think that most Reading fans recognise that the board act in good faith for the most part and equally there is frustration at what manys ee as missed opportunities and bad decision making. I think that there is absolutely no need for abuse or protests to be directed at the board, and that has nothing to do with being 'pathetic' as you put it.

Says he who starts a sentence without a capital letter and a random full stop.

Floyd If you want a real comparison check Michael Knighton from carlisle. Thats where madejski is heading.

Both have been probed by an alien lifeform.....but Knighton never slept with Cilla Black. If you're alluding to asset-stripping, I'd suggest that funding a £30 million stadium would make it hard to label Madejski an asset-stripper. You are of course entitled to your opinion, I just happen to think that is a harsh one.

I value your opnion over most others on this board floyd, but on this occasion I think you are giving him a little too much credit, even if I am being slightly harsh my side :)
