After ITV1's News at 10 there's a short regional news programme. The Thames Valley version after the Coventry game showed a caption with the score Reading 2 Coventry City 1. Now the caption having the wrong scoreline is by no means unusual but on this occasion the presenter also said that the final score was 2-1.

A few years ago, that programme would normally contain action from a midweek home game, at least from the first half. Not only is there now no action from any midweek game, they're regularly unable to get the score right from a match that finishes 45 minutes before the regional section of the programme starts.

And it's only fair to report that after the Blackpool game, the Thames Valley regional news programme showed action from the game, even the late penalty save. And got the result right. Well done, if you're reading. (And the red card shows up as a nailed on decision, by the way.)
