Skin LOL @ the obsession that we got £5m and its a good price. Lets just see what we do or don't do with it.

£5m means absolutely nothing if we don't re-invest a good chunk of it.

And £5m is diddly squat if we dont get promoted on the back of not having decent delivery from set pieces and endless enthusiasm for the game.

No matter what people say, Hunt was more than just another 'hughsie', he brought a lot to this team and he could prove to be sorely missed.

Wycombe Royal
Royal Lady Like we invested the £5 million for Kits you mean!!! LOL. It's a good bit of business to keep RFC in a healthy position financially, it's not a good bit of business for the team.

Have we missed Kitson though? I don't think so. You only need to reinvest if it is required, there is no point spending money just for the sake of it.

Exactly, reinvest if it's needed.
Noel Hunt has done brilliantly this year, we cannot stop scoring goals, we're the best at that!
Fans know who to buy, but I guess we'll have to trust one of the best Managers in the Country to work it all out.
I'm happy with that.

How does RFC decide if it is needed?

We had to accept it.
Coppell knows Hunt inside and out, it's a shame, but that's the game.

That's why Coppell is the Manager.
Again, you'll just have to trust and support his decisions.
Or not.

We won't miss hunt if we replace him, as I said on another thread he's not irreplaceable. I think if he goes its important to get another left footer who have cross that ball half decently and we will not even notice him going. Don't get me wrong I'd rather he stayed purely for the 'not broke don't fix it factor' but if he goes and we replace him then hairy muff.

Now that the club has accepted it, I'm waiting to see if Hunt will reject the chance to join a tiny club before I make any comment.

Scarface
Smoking Kills Dancing Doe Tabb is Hunt's replacement. I'd love to see Surman, but it won't happen.

That's not good enough, we need more than Tabb and Kebe to get promoted. I'm pretty sure Tabb isn't naturally left footed is he ?

I see Tabb as Convey's replacement.

Tabb was never Hunt's replacement.

We were looking for one more with no-one leaving - I'd anticipate two coming in now. Campbell-Ryce looking like our preferred choice to replace Hunt if he agrees terms with Wigan.

Royal Lady I didn't say we had missed Kitson, I said we didn't re-invest the £5million into the TEAM.

And I said there is no point reinvesting if you don't need to.

Obviously you think that he's 'getting it wrong' again.
I'm extremely laid back about it all.

SC has said that Tabb was brought in to "supplement" the squad. So if Hunty goes we should sign another left winger. I would prefer Jamal Cambell Ryce, i have always thought Surman was quite slow and wouldnt fit into our dynamic wing style, Surman reminds me of Gareth Barry.

I find it strange that the official website or no another source has confirmed the Wigan bid. Sky reported this bid midday yesterday, but still no further news.

Either Sky are miles ahead of everyone else, or its complete rubbish.

Interesting to note they have updated the official site with SC's preview for Wolves but nothing about Hunty.

I fail to see one reason how this is good for Reading.

£5m or £10m it makes no difference. That will not be reinvested into the team because we wont pay the wages plus we dont need the money. Totally Counterproductive, even if we his contract precevented us doing much abiout it.

Byr Bye Hunt, Bye Bye Top 2. Thats reality im afraid.

You dont know what you've got til its gone.

That isn't interesting at all as they never report ANY transfer dealings until they are completed.

Lol @ people worried about hunt going. Why would wages be a problem? Campbell Ryce would not be on as much a Hunt if he signed!
