Blow me down! Kitson and Little back in the same week.

And some people see a downside to this. Personally I see none: they're in our squad and not in our rivals', they should prove to be better than what we have, or at least increase our options, but if not I can't see that we're worse off.

Just think how Wolves and Brum fans are feeling. That should be the guide to how pleased we should be.

Percy's Rocket I understand Warnockhas been on the blower asking if we want Oster back too....Copps said no thanks.

That's just a rumour. But apparently Coppell rang Parkinson, trying to persuade him to bring his boots tonight, just in case....

floyd__streete
readingbedding Absurd and ridiculous reading it must be said.
We were always going up anyway, but now with the old boys back we can do so with some style.
Well done Steve Coppell.

So my suggestion that the return of two players who have hardly played in months and proved abject failures at their current clubs might, just might, be a touch desperate is 'absurd and ridiculous' but your assertion that we were always going up anyway isn't?

I believe the technical term is
LOL

I dont see why the reintroduction on Little and Kitson brings about such a talking point,honestly....Past players have gone and come back again to prove their worth- take T Senior and Adie Williams as a fact. Both Kitson and Little are massively proven in the championship, any of the top six would bite their hands off for both of them.Trying to find any 'apparent' negative of both players current situations at their clubs doesnt have any relevance for our own prerogatives and neither should it do,we know their abilities and how they work so to nit pick is thoroughly irritating.

surely this is the first time Reading have signed a £5.5million pound player on loan so soon after such a big bucks move!

I'm glad to have him back, I think his size is something that we miss up front and could especially help terrify some of the mid to bottom table clubs and the buzz this must have created on the training ground might well spill over onto the pitch.

I take back everything I've said, I am absolutely delighted / surprised to have both the ginger and Glen back. I think it say's something very positive about the club that we are able to do this and that the players wish to return.

What will happen to Long and Lita though?

Think he made an understandable but tough decision that didn't work out for him. With hindsight it was a poor decision. But hindsight is 20/20.

Very pleased one of my all time favourite players is back. He's going to be pretty rusty (snigger), but at this level he should be good enough to score goals if he is reasonably fit (for him).

personally i think getting the hump becuase a player dared to say " dont want to spend my whole career at this club, and perhaps would like to give it a go at the toplevel if i can"
is a bit odd.

fair play to them when they went
fair play to them when they come back

believe it or not, we are not the peak of anyones footballing ambitions
and we never will be

Wycombe Royal Person leaving a company to get paid more elsewhere shocker.

You would have done the same unless you are unambitious.

Was the original quote my response was towards.

SteveRoyal
Thomas L'Heureux Is Kevin Doyle unambitious?

Wait, hold the phone, how old is Doyle?
Then look at how old Kitson is.
The older you are, the more desperate for Premier league football you are, because you know your time is up.
Usually.

* Basically, shut the oxf*rd up.
It's a loan.

You're an idiot on this proof, SR. The talk was of people leaving for a better paid job (footballer or otherwise). Wycombe Royal declared that we'd all do the same unless we were unambitious.

Doyle didn't do the same, so I asked if he was unambitious too...

Hugo Boss This smacks of desperation to me.
Desperate Dave Kitson or Desperate Reading FC?

in an interview with Pullis on the bbc website, the reporter mentions Kitson having had a baby, and Pullis response was "yeah he has had family problems" anyone know what this is?

All I will say is that I will be cheering wildly the first time Kitson scores for us.

Cannot see a downside to this as he will be desperate to score again and this should propel us to promotion!!

This must be good news.A natural partner for Doyle. The more options up front the better for me.I'm sure Wolves,Birmingham, and Cardiff will not be so pleased.

Is Kevin Doyle unambitious? His attitude to the same situation was 'I was a part of the team that go relegated, so I'll be a part of the team that brings us back up', which is very gracious and is testimony to Doyle as both a person and a sportsman.

Sorry but bollox, he would have been off if we had accepted a bid.

Glad to have kitson back, quality player and a proven scorer.

rabidbee
Harry Carry I think you fickle fans should swallow your pride and be pleased he's coming back. You can't blame him for wanting to play in the Prem and earn more money, we'd all go for better, higher paid jobs if we could. It didn't work out for him, so get over it.

Bloody hell - a sensible post from Kes, and one that I actually agree with. Two novel experiences in one post
Many of Harold's jerk "anti-Reading" posts have a subtext of well-directed criticism about the idiotic way some people support this club. This one just happens not to be in wind-up mode.

It's a quote directly from Doyle himself. Kitson didn't make the same noises prior to Stoke's offer, did he?!
