I'd just like either of them to go on a losing run... preferably Cardiff I think because we have to play them.

Blimey Cardiff have also got Nottingham Forest away on Monday; they've got three difficult games in a short period of time and then they play us on Saturday! I vote for three Cardiff losses and then losing to us!

For those watching CCFC they are struggling to put out a proper first team because of all their injuries. It accounts for some of their mad results.

So:

Today: Cardiff v Leicester
Saturday: Cardiff v Swansea
Monday: Nottingham Forest v Cardiff
Saturday: Cardiff v Reading

could really take them out.

I don't get it. They're unbeaten in their last 4 matches since they lost at Leicester winning 3 out of 4. It doesn't look like they're struggling.

As long as we beat both Ipswich AND Coventry, I'm sure we'll be in a great position.

Assuming we win all our games and set a 76 point target then i think we need Cardif to be poor above the other two then leicester then swansea.

if cardiff lose to leicester and swans and us then they would end on 74 points winning the rest of their matches which include forest and QPR away as the toughest (Warnock likes to have a say on most things so the play off candidates should be no different.).

Failing that Leicester to lose to both of the welsh (76 points) and a slip up against preston away and or boro at home in the last two games.

Swansea games are the ones you'd want with the cardiff away and sheff utd away being the sore thumbs but losses in those two would put them on 74 aswell (but boost cardiff up by three( which hopefully forest or the fakies would take back again!))

think thats right and it depends on us winning all games

for the record last fixtures are

Leicester; Cardiff A, WBA A, QPR H, P'boro A, Watford H, Preston A, M'boro H

Cardiff; Leicester H, Swansea H, Forest A, Reading H, QPR A, Sheff Wed H, Derby A

Swansea; Cardiff A, Scunthorpe H, Bristol City A, Barnsley H, Sheff Utd A, Doncaster H

Pick the bones outta that lot!

If Leicester lose tonights thats 1 point out of 12 with WBA to play away from home on Friday...that could make it 1 out of 15. They could be 9 points ahead of us having played 3 games more. 8)

Nobody seems to be considering Blackpool.
At the moment they have played 2 games more than us but are 5 points ahead with a goal difference 14 better.
Their fixtures are:-
Scunthorpe (A)
Doncaster (H)
Newcastle (A)
Notts Forest (H)
Peterboro (A)
Bristol City (H)
In the reverse fixtures they have won 4 drawn 1 and lost just 1.
Factor in Newcastle already promoted and Peterboro already relegated I can see them finishing close to or actually in a play-off spot.

Nobody is writing them off, it's about overhauling the teams currently there. As others overtake them we can shift focus.

ANd I absolutely guarantee we'll be in the play offs if we get 76 points. We're looking at 70 - 74 to get in IMO. 70 pretty unlikely, but 72 might be a realistic amount to do it.

True but we know they are catchable at the present. They are still within our radar taking our games in hand into account...but yes they are definitely in the mix.

If I had to plump for a winner tonight I'd rather Cardiff I think as Leicester & Swans are in freefall. Both of them could potentially drop out.

For Reading to even have a sniff of playoffs we need 18 pts minimum from 24. Just can't see us getting 6 from 8. We needed to beat WBA on Sat. Never mind. I think 65 pts + is a fantastic return given we had something like 26 pts on 27th Jan.

Agreed. It all looks good - but look back further and they have had a heap of rogue results. They are playing 16 and 17 year olds at times and on the bench. Even Dave Jones [who is an optimist] feels they are struggling to just get a point from games he wants to win.

I think Leciester are the most likely to drop out now surely? Cardiff 2-0 up. Surely they can't implode AGAIN?!!
