Not quite sure about the being pushed out by Rodgers argument, it was clear that Harper and Rosie were both on high wages at the time the club was cloth cutting and with both out of contract in the summer it didn't seem likely they'd get new deals so why not move them on. Harper was still given games in the League Cup and was a regular on the bench so it's not like he was given the treatment that say Lambert, Davies etc were given by Burns.

But meh we'll never know the truth and he deserves a round of applause for giving us great service across nearly ten years and in three divisions.

Harper should and most likely will get a good reception.

Anyone who boo's Rosenior is a moron. Not saying he desearves applauds or anything but he hardly did anything wrong.

Harper one of my favourite Royals ever. Wish him all the best (except in today's game, obviously).

No problems with Rosenior either, although not in the same league. Just a shame he never lived up to his own high estimate of himself while with us (or anyone else, so far as I can tell)

Ian Royal Harper was a superb player and character for us and will always be one of those player's who's career I follow and wish well elsewhere. TBH I was delighted to see him score a great goal against us recently, even though it meant we didn't win.

Why? He was a big reason as to why we went down and was atrocious in his last season with us, before blaming everyone but himself for his being shit. Apparently being made captain was 'mugging him off' - the guy is a joke and Hull fans don't rate him, just like Sheffield United didn't, his goal against us was a blip, rather like when Keith Scott scored that belter against Bradford in the cup.

How can anyone be "delighted" when an ex-player scores against us and we don't win? :|

I was delighted because he scored, because he is a player I really like and got completely undeserved stick from a lot of our fans, so it's nice seeing him put one over on those idiots. I was not delighted because we didn't win. I was delighted for him, despite us not winning.

And as for Royalee's usual nonsense, Harper was one of our best performing 3 or 4 players when we went down. If he'd had a decent partner that season, we'd have probably stayed up, given we only just went down.

Agreed. The latter played very well today. On one occasion beat three of our players who were in close attendance and slipped a lovely pass through to a forward. Rarely let Jobi get the better of him. One stupid moment when he deservedly got booked for kicking the ball away to waste time.

If we were without Griffin or Cummings, I would gladly see him back.

The only thing that let him down whilst with us was his mouth. Maybe instead of 'your grounds too big for you', we could have had a chorus of 'Your mouth's too big for you'.

Rosenior and Harper showed how poor they are again today, complete comedy when Harper took a free kick just over halfway in the first half, kept playing one two's with Rosenior getting deeper and deeper until Hull gave away a throw-in about 10 yards short of their penalty box.

Blind and stupid prejudice!! They were not poor today. Quite the opposite with Rosenior being the better of the two.

Posted this separately as Royalee's post didn't deserve any further words!

Notice Harper was still up to his old tricks today, on several occasions patting/touching the ref on the bum!!

Has anyone seen him with a girlfriend?
