Norfolk Royal Having looked at the fixtures I think the most points we can realistically get is 81 while Norwich's likely total is 83 on a conservative estimate.

83? You think 13 points from these games is CONSERVATIVE?

H Nottm Forest WIN Probable
H Derby County WIN
H Coventry City WIN

Presumably you are expecting 4/5/6 points from these 4 games?

A Swansea VERY TOUGH, Could easily lose
A Watford Could be anything and Watford seem to have "blown" but they are a good side. A win there will be a very good result
A Ipswich TOUGH, and a local derby. Could easily lose
A Portsmouth VERY TOUGH, Could easily lose

I think Norwich have two wins "nailed on" and probably they'll beat Forest (but Forest could regain form at any moment, including this Saturday). They COULD win at Waford, but I fancy they won't and it wouldn't be any kind of shock to see them lose the other three away games. They might easily only manage WWDDLLL 8 points

Don't get me wrong, I think they are an excellent side and the best TEAM in the division, but this is a really tough last seven games for them.

You seem to be ignoring the fact that Norwich have only lost once in about 19 games. They're not suddenly going to start losing games now.

I admit that it would be a massive surprise for us to catch Norwich. There is normally 1 team that implodes towards the end of the season. Do we give that title to Forest already? I'm not sure I want to tempt fate with Saturday on the cards. I could see Cardiff pissing it all away again too.

I think Norwich have enough in them to make it over the line, but they do have a tough run in.

They haven't been playing Swansea away/ Forest home week in week out though have they?

Equally, we're unbeaten in 9. So we're nailed on to get points at Forest and at Leeds are we?

Catching Norwich is a long-shot, but the contention that they'll easily reach 83 pts is suspect.

If RFC win all 7 remaining games and finish on 84 I would be very surprised if we did not get automatic promotion.

But to win 12 in a row would be an unbelievable feat. In this division it is not just about how you play but also if you suffer from a dodgy refereeing decisions - say a dubious sending off or penalty against. 12 in a row would also outshine the 10 in a row wins during 2005-6. In reality I expect we will draw or lose one or two and then play offs will be the best we can hope for.

Still nothing is impossible and all the players can do is take it one game at a time.

Snowball On this run, if we beat Preston, WE DID and manage WD at Leeds/Forest (WE WON AT FOREST) we can catch Norwich, really we can

Norwich have a VERY tough last seven games. They could lose 4 of the last 7

A Swansea (Could LOSE) THEY LOST
A Watford (Could LOSE)
H Nottm Forest (No Guarantee)
A Ipswich (Could LOSE)
H Derby Should win
A Portsmouth (Could LOSE)
H Coventry Should win

And if we DID catch them, and the League Authorities zapped 20 points off QPR, we might be Champions.

This is only partly tongue-in-cheek.

Reading WERE 1,000-1 when I posted

Reading WERE 712-1 after Preston

Reading are now 80-1 TO WIN THE CHAMPIONSHP.

Maybe I was right

Good luck with that. It's overall "unlikely" but at 1,000-1 it was a monster bet

RFC are as low as 25-1 to win the championship now, best price 66-1

Thanks. I'd be more comfortable if I had Shane to be top scorer. Yeah shame to miss out on the 1000-1. My friend (who you met last saturday ) and I actually bet £25 each on us going up last year at odds of 40-1. This narrowed to about 8-1 at its height so you can imagine we were getting pretty excited at one point!

I think Shane has a very tall order, as do RFC.

Making up 3 goals in 5 games, means he probably needs 3 braces or a hat-trick at least
