Looked a debateable red card to me... and where it is debateable, I'd be inclined towards leniency in the opening 5 - 10 minutes. Much the same as I prefer a talking to a player over a yellow that early on.

Unless it's absolutely nailed on, which I don't think that was. Can't complain the ref got it wrong, but then I think you could say exactly the same thing about giving a yellow instead.

It looked bad. He doesn't get 10 slow mo viewings of it, soon as it happened it looked as though he'd gone studs first almost chest high. Instant red.

Great result for the Swans, they'd have taken it 11 v 11, so they'll be delighted

On this I wholeheartedly agree... they're the team to beat. And deservedly so IMO.

MmmMonsterMunch That red card actually galvanised them - didnt hurt them at all.

Don't think I can stomach losing to Swansea at Wembley would rather lose in the semi to Cardiff!

Losing to Swansea would be such sweet Karma for Ideal and any others who wrote off Rodgers without giving him a chance, but I'm not counting Nottingham Forest out yet.

PEARCEY Good decision by Mike Dean. As has been said it doesn't matter if its the 1st minute if its a red its a red.

After seeing the oscar winning roll on the floor from McGugan and the sly look over to the bench...I'd disagree...ok the studs may have been slightly high but it's not like Taylor steamed through McGugan...soft decision if you ask me...

Doesn't really matter if he played for it or not IMO. There's no way your studs should be connecting with someone at groin height. A stupid challenge and a deserved red card.

Its still level pegging, so lets see. Swans sometimes struggle to break teams down - Forest might yet go through on pens...

Amazing what a few hard learnt lessons and having a team already built around your ethos when you arrive can do for someone.

I like the way Rodgers didn't moan about the red card and accepted that it was the right decision. I think it could have easily been just a yellow, and had it been the other way round I'm sure Davies would have been squealing about what a poor decision it was.

Thought Swansea played out of their skins first half and defended superbly second half. Although Forest didn't look great, couldn't understand why they appeared to have Wes Morgan as their playmaker.
