The only change will be Kebe replacing HRK.
Manset will be on the bench. He came on against Leicester and changed the match don't see any changes happening.

Plymouth_Royal .................Feds.................

Griffin...Mills....Zurab....Harte..

...............Ledge...............
,,,,,,,,,,,,Karacan...................
McAnuff.........Howard.....HRK...

...............Long..................

Subs: McCarthy, Gunnar, Pearce, Church, Tabb, Taylor, Kebe

Good shout Plymouth....This team looks solid, with a lot going forward. The only reason I would change this, is to go 4-4-2 if Kebe is fit, although HRK has done nothing wrong. If we went two up front I would start with Hunt and Long.

Royal Lady I don't want us to risk Kebe if he's not 100% fit or thereabouts. What about the final?!!

Not much point saving him for the final if we're not in it.

paddy20 I agree midfield were lacking any creativity on the floor. Bring in Pearce for Kish, push Kish up to holding midfield player and move Legs into a more attacking midfield role. Kish plays as a midfielder for Geogia and he is so controled in his passing. Legs always looks dangerous when he goes forward. Bring on Karacan later as the older midfield players tire.

Interesting post. Although karacan did well on friday night.

Will just be kebe for hrk. If both are out I think Church will start out wide... not saying it would work though, id rather play Cummings!

i think we should try something radical.

Cede the midfield but play two full backs on both wings with a winger in front of them

Harpers So Solid Crew ........McCarthy.........

Griffin..Mills...Khizanishvili...Harte

McAnuff...Gunnarsson....Leigertwood

Manset...Church....Long

Go for a quick lead, silence the Cardiff massive, and should it work switch to one up front after 5 mins of the second half, bringing on Tabb and Robson-Kanu for Church and MAnset.

Gunnarsson's past it and Church is the worst finisher I've seen since Paul Brayson...plus you're playing people of position for no reason - no fanks.

I am starting with no actual wingers, but allowing players to go wide if the chance occurs, the front three play as the game allows them. MAnset can play wide and cut in, as can Long, both got wide on Friday.

ANd it was not long ago that Shane Long was the worst finisher since Brayson.

Remember Pardew at the very same stage playing Darius out wide and it didn't work.
Coppell did the same IIRC with Church in a big game and it didn't work.
Now Cummings playing ahead of Griff might just work as he does have pace and is a thinking footballer (unlike Henderson and Church) and wouldn't have to worry quite so much about defending.

If Kebe & HRK are both out? Eeek.

Er... I'd actually be tempted to have a crack at shifting Karacan out wide and bringing in Tabb to replace him. Jem's relatively quick, has shown a few skills and decent crosses this season and would definitely be able to help out Griffin. Cummings I'm less sure about stepping up to that sort of responsibility and delivering in midfield.

I wouldn't start Antonio, but as an impact sub I'd be happy to use him. Taylor is a possibility, but didn't look like he was good enough on defensive duties, which is also a reason I wouldn't want Hunt, Church or Antonio starting there.

Well if we do play Cummings on the right and we get promoted I will claim my spot on the bus...

I don't think the second leg of a play-off game is the time to be trying out radical formations or playing players out of position. The only change I can see is Kebe coming in if fit (please God say he is).

And what if he isn't and neither is HRK? ... Antonio who has been poor in his only two starts this season?

On the subject of Manset, yes he's direct and yes he's unpredictable, but the bloke doesn't get into the box enough and seems happy to sit on the edge after playing a good pass out wide. I still think he's better as an impact sub, so expect Hunt to keep his place, albeit wide right with Howard in for HRK. He might play Church for Hunt, but I doubt he'll do that, based on Church not being able to hit a barn door.

I'm lead to beleive Kebe is out for the season, McDermott is playing mind games saying he's almost fit.

That Friday Feeling
Ian Royal And what if he isn't and neither is HRK?

Jake Taylor

1st Choice - Kebe
2nd - Gunnarsson
3rd - Tabb
4th - Howard
5th - Robson-Kanu
.
.
.
16th - Taylor

The guys only played about 30 minutes of first team football, this is a play off second leg in a hugely hostile ground. I wouldn't put him within a mile of the starting line up. For the same reason, I think it's unlikely Robson-Kanu will have any impact in this game and would rather see a more experienced older hand playing.

Was tongue in cheek - though I would seriously put him on the bench. He's a talent and if we need a surprise package off the bench in the last 20 minutes...

FWIW, if we are really without a right winger I'd play Hunt or Church alongside Long and have them take turns out wide in whatever version of "one up front" McDermott favours. Long drifts out there a lot anyway and he really worries defenders when he's running at them.

McDermott must rate Antonio as Henry was sold. Unlike fans, one bad game isn't goign to change Brian's opinion too much.
Tabb is a good option though, really pushing for a start. He used to play on the wing, even if not his best position.
