Given the ways the dates fall we will start at home - so err West Ham.

Sorry, what's the dates got to do with whether we'll be at home or not?

We're always away the weekend of the Reading festival (bar I think one year we played Rotherham or Doncaster on the BH Monday).

Means we have to be away 27th August. As the LC Rds 1 and 2 are the 8th & 22nd taking up two midweeks and there isn't usually an August midweek league game then I'm expecting something like:

Sat Aug 6 - Home
Tues Aug 9 - LC1
Sat Aug 13 - Away
Sat Aug 20 - Home
Tues Aug 22 LC2
Sat Aug 27 - Away

Weekend before August bank holiday, I would guess.

We have to be away on Reading festival weekend. The unknown is how many midweek games there are between 6th August & 27th August and when they are.

If there's one on w/c 15th August then it doesn't work if we start with a home game:

6th Aug Home
13th Aug Away
w/c 15th Home
20th Aug Away
27th Aug Home

Not if you alternate, but often a midweek/weekend are two of the same so H/H or A/A- so could easily start

H
A
H
H
A

If a midweek is thrown in.

Indeed - so until we see the full number of fixtures we can't base anything on the festival weekend.

This (last) season we ddn't have a midewek game in August because of the League Cup and the matches did alternate (as they would)

On that basis it'd have to be

6th Aug Home
13th Aug Away
20th Aug Home
27th Aug Away

Hope August 6th is an away game at Boro as I can't make the game due to a Wedding.

Not being selfish like.

What if it goes say... Away, Home, Home, Away. Is that possible to happen?

No newly promoted teams, they have momentum and don't wanna start with a loss.. Mid road non eventful game to start.. Barnsley or donny etc

Nope - the season is divided into 5 individual 5th for the fixture compilation, and you can only get two consecutive home or away matches when it changes from one 5th to the next.

One from a selection of 23 teams either home or away.

Hope that's narrowed it down for you.
