Barry the bird boggler Just not consistent enough for me so I'd try and sell him in January but most likely he'll go back to France in the summer for nothing.

And personally I think Obita has the makings to be a better player anyway, so no real loss overall.

Im curious . how many times have you seen Obita play ???

peterroyal76 I hope he stays, I will be disappointed if he joins an English club although if he went back to France I would understand why.
I just wish the club wouldn't wait so long to offer contracts to our better players.

hes been offered one for ages!
and id imagine he was sounded out long before that tbf
and you canty say that they dont offer one the instant a player begins to actually prove himself consistently

The club simply cannot keep its players anymore. Kinda sad really. You offer them a chance ( as we have done with many) and we simply don't have the keeping power or attraction once they become established. Clearly the clubs lack of ambition over the last few years is reason for Kebe to want to move on, who wants to stick around when top players are leaving in their droves?

Just watched the interview with Brian and Jonny Fordham and he just seemed to ask stupid questions about it. What a cnut.

Brian just can't be fcuked with him either. He's made Adie look like a class reporter...now that's saying something!

give him till new year see how he plays as well as where we are in league then make decision then, sure we would have suitable replacements lined up may as well try cash in on him especially if he is certain to move in the summer.

Don't want another sidwell situation where he falls off with his performances!

Yes he was offered a contract in March, but he was and has been a key player for us way before March.
He may or may not have been sounded out before then, but what answer did he give the club? I don't know his response to this, you would of thought he indicated he would sign a new contract. If so why wasn't the contract signed? Did either side move the proverbial goalposts?

They've been in contract discussions with him since the end of last season. And it was well reported that was the case.

He's not even that good, we only like him because of his pace!! I'd rather have someone who is slightly slower but actually do something. Maybe that person is obita next season!!

Based on no evidence whatsoever, I reckon he's still pissed off at all the (motivational) booing he received during his early time here, and so now he just wants to fukk off the club and the fans by running out his contract.
