He didn't actually bottle the 50/50 he went into the challenge, he just didn't win it, it happens sometimes

Just thinking, last 7 games

W6 L1 14-5 18 Points

@ 2.6 ppg, a 118-point season

That is some form, and really we should have won, not lost at Blackpool.

Karacan in the middle bottled two 50/50 challenges which was suprising...the first of which the ball then breaks to the lad who hit the bar. Passing as usual from him wasn't the best I still feel we really need a creative force next to leg.

You cam make that face all you want, you're part of the karacan love in so im not expecting a reasonable opinion from you. You next to never criticise our players also no matter how badly they play.

We are currently 5th, the form team of the division and, apparently, we got here with at least one sh*t midfielder and a set of strikers who desperately need replacing.

Is this a miracle we're witnessing or just the usual blinkered nonsense from 2 well known sources?

Usual over the top reactions. How dare anyone point out negative factors about a performance. This is not the north korean regime ffs. It was not an enjoyable performance by EITHER team, it was a pretty dull game. We took a few neutrals and one of them remarked that it looked like neither set of players gave a shit in the first half.

You all conveniently ignored the positive parts of my post in which I stated Noel Hunt was a game changer and sometimes you have to win ugly...so perhaps you should refer to yourself as blinkered as thats the only point all three of you chose to actually respond to instead of the positive part.

Although we looked full of Xmas dinner, Ipswich did SPOIL
and there was a stupid ampunt of "Sky Ball"

I don't mean long ball, I mean about a third of the first half was spent waiting for the ball to come down

Griffin made two atrocious mistakes / passes in the first 10 minutes, but after that he was a rock.

Sonko had a good solid game, and a great reception from our fans. Though as previously said, we did well not to give in to wage demands.

First half, Ipswich looked more likely to score, with a shot that clipped the bar which Fed's didn't even make a dive for, but we did restrict them to distance shots. We didn't really have any decent chance I can remember in the first half.

2nd half how ever, we really came out the traps, and went at them, and the last 20 mins we could of scored a hat full - I specifically remember Kebe losing possession just outside the 6 yard box despite having a rather ticked off Church waiting for the square pass... That must be difficult to play with.

I actually couldn't believe it was Alf who was subbed rather than Church, but Simon did well in the latter stages, chasing down lost causes and dead balls - which reminded me of Long.

In fairness we deserved the win, but only after we went ahead did we play well. Some really slick passing once the confidence got going.

The 2 or 3 handball appeals earlier in the game and some awful corner / throw in decisions were only made sweeter that our goal came from a handball free kick. I counted at least 2 foul throws from Ipswich which were ignored / missed. And finally that back pass at the end, where the Ipswich defender hoofed it up, which the keeper caught, and Simon backed off Wright, so he could collect it... only for that to be ignored, was another silly miss from the ref's... You wonder why the FA even bother having rules regarding back passes and throw ins.

It was nowhere near a MOM performance, not sure if serious. Leg, pearce, gorks and griffin were much more solid.

No way was Griffin more solid than Karacan - for starters, I don't remember Karacan actually misplacing a pass, yet distinctly remember Griffin making two in the first 10 minutes.

wrong

its very sad thatyou cant put your blinkers to one side and give credit where due

it was either pearce or jem
nowt between the two academy products for MOM

and your assessment of ledge as better than karacan in this game renders your view of the game utterly erroneous

TBF, most people thought Karacan had a blinder.

The radio pundits thought it was his best game EVER.

I agree, thought he was magnificent.

So when you read someone criticising him, it does read a bit strange.

PieEater Yet another team who I'd swap our front two for, Church; slow, lightweight and Alf; anonymous. Not that we could afford Chopra or JET.

Yep. Church was - as per - the better of the two, but utterly unable to win key headers. ALF is a finisher.....and very little else, his all round game is barely up to Championship standard really. Neither really has the ability or skill to make a chance for themselves out of nothing.

ALF has shown some real class when I've seen him. Good link up play and passing. Set up a couple for others, including the excellent cross which set up Church's first v West Ham on a plate.

Agree. ALF has a reputation as just a finisher, but his link up play has seemed far superior to any ofther striker we have IMO. And he's got about 4 assists as well. Not bad for someone who can only finish.

And I'm sure both keepers had moments where they held onto the ball for more than 6 seconds but then that appears to be one law that officials never apply...

That's the trouble with opinion, innit?

BTW, not in a million YEARS did he play better than that a dozen times.

if he had he'd be in the Premiership already

That's a hell of a backpass all the way to the bench if Wright was catching it!
