No Fixed Abode A striker who can't get in the Blackburn side ahead of David Goodwillie. Gr8 signing.

cmonurz Why?

If we've paid £500k for someone of Roberts' calibre I won't be unhappy.

£500k for a past it striker who i think will find it hard to be motivated to have the clubs best interests at heart! He has more desire to be on the radio and playing on twitter!

£500K? only worth it if he can get us 10 goals +

He's got to be a better signing than the drink driving, perpetually unfit, Manset.

He's also likely to be a better ambassador for our club and what it stands for!

So far this season we have won considerably more corners than any other club in the Championship. Hopefully Jason will help us convert a greater percentage of these.

Also, we have at last got someone who can win and hold up the ball when we revert to hoof!

Can only benefit the likes of Sheppard to train alongside someone of his experience, who knows in 18 months Sheppard may be ready to take over.

Adds a nice piece of spice to Saturday.

How does posting a FACT count as fishing?

Roberts had a contract issue with Blackburn meaning that if he played another game for them, they had to extend his contract for another year or two.

I would be hungry with a record of 29 goals in 150 games for my previous club!

I wasn't impressed when I first heard the suggestion, but I've been coming round to the positive point of view by some decent arguments in support of him being posted.

Now he's here, he gets my full support and I hope he bangs them in.

I also agree his best partner would be ALF, so watch him line up along side Church or Hunt... or maybe even play up on his own ahead of Cywka. (sorry, bad negativity - Yay Jason!!!!!)

Please can someone spend the Russian money on some decent artwork?

They look like they're in some shitty council offices.

He's hardly played under Keen Out, is he likely to be match fit?

Unfit 34 year old > Church.

Focher Despite some negative thoughts, I for one think this is a very astute signing, and just what ALF (or whoever else is picked) needs alongside him. Lets face it, ALF is the probably best we have out of a pretty good bunch that has helped us into the play-offs.

Looking at the bigger picture with this signing...hoooooooooooooooof! We now have a big, strong guy who'll be able to hold up a hoofed ball to him in hope that whoever is near him can collect a pass or miscontrol and can do something with it. This may work out well for us this season but christ am I getting sick of our boring, pathetic and predictable style.

Now can we please get rid of Hunt, Manset and Williams please.

I'm getting bored of it to. The last 7 or 8 years have been really rubbish.

So Reading aren't the only club to get into that hole!

Hope his agent was on the lookout for a similar clause in his contract this time around!
