floyd__streete I am particularly looking forward to reading Woodcote Royal's considered opinion on the prospect of us re-signing Shorey.

IN for Sidwell and Doyle. Both far > their equivalents in the current side.

Agree with Sidwell and Doyle + Long

As for Shorey :| no one in a Reading shirt was more responsible for our relegation than the left back who simply couldn't give a fcuk from the day his transfer to West Ham fell through.....................and nothing said more about how our manager's blind loyalty to certain players drove us into the dirt, than his to refusal drop Shorey or even sign some realistic competition for his place.

On that basis, for anyone wishing to resign this player, their utter stupidity clearly knows no bounds.

The thread prompted me to look back at old Team Photos...

One man in the 2004/5 photo (the 2nd one on the page) was considered so insignificant he wasn't named!

I'd re-sign murts and have it as a term of the contract that he couldn't appear on any broadcast media.

At the end of the day football would be the winner.

Ian Royal [Long or Doyle?

Long. And if anyone wants to say "I told you so" go right ahead. Long has come on leaps and bounds and Doyle has stagnated.

.[/quote]

Well I did say in that notorious first thread that I believed he could be as good as or better than Doyle
(I read the post yesterday)

Mind you they are different types of player. KD could be more valuable for some teams
in certain situations (all that grind-out hard-work he does) and Shane, for example, would fit
into the current RFC side and we'd be top of the (this league)

But I think the KD-SL PAIRING would be awesome.

Watching KD he looks over-worked and worn-out. Bizarrely, an injury that kept him out
for a while might rejuvenate him

Clearly BMcD in the second photo is the missing name.

None of the first teamers as they are all shit at their current clubs or barely in the team ever, but I wouldn't mind Shane Long back in the squad and playing with the passion he did last year.

I think I would cry if forced to go through another lengthy Doyle goalless spell.

Convey and Little would definitely add to our wing options.

Yep. That's why I specified "the 2nd one on the page".

Oh well...

Dont worry Rother, I spotted it straight away.

Regarding the question. Sidwell.

Although I do believe if the 106ers were this year we would have won the league by now. We would have destroyed Portsmouth last night.
