Royal With Cheese
Barry the bird boggler Tuesday's games for the top 3

Peterborough United v Reading
West Ham United v Middlesbrough
Hull City v Southampton

I can see all of the top three dropping points potentially!

Hull have been unbeaten for some 10/11 games now; Boro have imploded but West Ham's home form isn't great, whilst Posh can always score - but also concede - goals.

Wins for Reading and West Ham, draw for Saints.

BenReadingFC My old man was sweating at the end as he had a £5 bet on Reading to win 4-0 @ 40-1 praying we wouldn't score a 5th.
He walked away from Oakwell with an extra £205.

Great stuff Ben, congrats to your Dad.

But of the three I like the look of our Tuesday the best.
Hull ain't going to be a pushover for Saints, their position is heavily influenced by their home form anyway...
West Ham are wobbling at home, and 'Boro are likely to push them all the way.

If we play as we can do we could be clear at the top come Wednesday...

Quite pleased with that really, certainly matched, if not bettered Boro which I thought had been one of the most efficient away performances I had seen from Reading for a long time. Impressed with how often Karacan got forwards, his 2nd goal was a screamer, shame he had to come off.

Also, on the subject of tickets, anyone have a clue why Barnsley won't sell student tickets on the gate, and charge adult price, as opposed to selling the tickets at student price, was pretty annoying to miss the first ten minutes due to some odd policy and no cashpoints anywhere close.

No doubt we were the best team
Though this was no big deal
But what was really pleasing
Was goals from our midfield.

You feel for fans from Barnsley
Six weeks still to go
No cup or league to play for
Their team just did not show.

All credit to Brian
Half time talk did the trick
Reading upped the tempo
And Barnsley shit a brick.

Our passing into Roberts
Was slick and very neat
A much improved performance
The best I`ve seen for weeks.

So onto Posh on Tuesday
A few pints to enjoy
And standing on a terrace
Like Jeff did as a boy.

pearcetom Just seen the goals on sky sports news. Brendywendy going mental when we score the first goal = priceless!!

Can someone please tape it and turn it into a gif please?

Awesome work guv, thanks!

Which one is Brendy?

As an aside, did McAnuff get a card for that? I seem to remember Church getting a second yellow at Bristol City a few years back for the same sort of thing?

The authorites are always trying to make football more inclusive, with that in mind what ref is going to book a player for engaging with the disabled fans?

I just can't get over how good our defence is.

We've let in 3 goals in 10 games.

NR_Royal Summary:

First half was terrrible, we were on top but didn't create much.

Second half we looked like a different team, attacking and dominating, Karacan was immense.

Mullins looked solid, Kebe was pretty good.

Ratings:

Feds 7 - Didn't need to do much
Mullins 7 - Solid, did well, nothing spectacular
Pearce 7 - Looked top quality as ever
Gorkks 8 - Great performance
Harte 7 - Not as effective as at Donny but good
Kebe 8 - Looked creative, made runs, good show
Karacan 9 - Two good goals, screamer was epic
Leigertwood 8 - Very good, bossed the midfield
McAnuff 7 - Shaky start, but came good. Don't think he should start
Roberts 8 - Dangerous
Hunt 8 - Looks faster than he ever has done, caused trouble

HRK 6 - Didn't do a lot right but the game was already won

Are you serious with your Jobi comment.. you dont think our in form captain should start??

winchester_royal First 20 minutes of the 2nd half we were scarily good, if we continue to have that sort of gear change for the rest of the season then we're up.

Special mention to Jason Roberts who was outstanding today, best performance from a striker this season, and the Gorkss/Pearce partnership which was as solid as ever.

Was mightily pissed off about Southampton's late goals, but to get back and be greeted with the news of Muamba puts it all in perspective.

I actually thought Roberts peformance against Leicester was his best all round peformance so far
