Extended-Phenotype I agree - McD should have mixed up the squad a bit more. Too many away games on the trot, and it showed.

What is the f/ing point in bringing in Cywka if you aren’t going to use him? Perfect time for him to have stepped in or been subbed on. Jem and Kebe looked dead. Chasing for an equaliser was the perfect time to stick some attack in that midfield, or give the wing some fresh legs.

McD really could have helped us out in this game.

Harsh and unfair. If McD had changed it and used the squad and we'd lost then there would be howels of why change a winning team?! It also goes against the 'keeping hold of the shirt' ethos which has served us well so far.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Aye, it's really harsh to wonder why the squad weren't used during a sprint of fixtures, while watching players limp around the pitch.

To bring it up obviously means I want McD to die of AIDS.

I did think that although Roberts has been excellent for us, playing him so many times in a short time period seemed a bit risky. There is no escaping that he is a little older and also was not playing regularly before joining us

^^^ agreed

Have been thinking that for a while but then who else would he play? he's so integral to the way we operate right now. Wouldn't mind a loan striker in to give him some rest, heard Henderson's name mentioned before, wouldn't go amiss...

Hoop Blah
Norfolk Royal In Paul Taylor they had a player of good skill who controlled the ball, always passed to one of his own players, drew our defenders in, then released it to one of their dangerous looking wingers. Why Taylor isn't playing for a bigger club I just don't know on that evidence, by far and away the best player on the pitch, confirmed by his MOM rating at the ending.

I think he's got a long history of off the field problems (including failed drugs tests) which have held him back.

Yes, I read that on Wiki after I posted, would explain it I guess. Fair play to Peterborough for giving him a chance though and it is paying off as someone has said.

I thought exactly the same about him at the home game. He was like a carbon copy of Craig Bellamy a few years back. Top Player.

We don't have a keep the shirt ethos - he dropped Cummings the moment Mullins arrived! In fact BMc said as much in an interview earlier this week.

Well, that was carp. Probably a good game for a neutral to watch I suppose.

Ratings - all 5 or lower - possibly Federici being the exception.

We just couldn't do anything right and it took a fantastic solo mazy run from Kebe for us to score at all. Our passing was poor. We gave away the ball from virtually every throw in. The set pieces were mainly shocking. P'boro wanted it far more and never let us settle. They were first to virtually everything and always got the block in when it was needed.

We sat back and did our usual thing to let them play around us doing no damage. All that did was give Peterborough possession far too easily and they played good attacking passing football at pace always willing to take on their man.

Really peeved, but at least West Ham didn't capitilise and hopefully this is the kick up the arse we need to not limp into the play offs having believed the hype too much.

What was the deal with Cummings? I lazily just presumed injury.

I thought Leicester also did this quite well but didn't have the final delivery/finish. It's been coming for a while, they're not invincible tactics but they've worked against the majority of the teams we've played - let's hope we can develop/refine them some more for the run-in.

McDermott said along the lines of "I make decisions for the good of the team, we lose a good young player in Cummings but Mullins has experience"

I wouldn't bet against it happening after seeing them last night. If they maintain that level of performance WHU will get a gubbing.

The Wham match was very strange - very quiet, and subdued. Even 'bubbles' was sang half-arsed.

Quality as always Jeff, Keep them coming. :)

Negative_Jeff A night off work for that shit
I really must be mad
A comprehensive stuffing
We really were that bad.

Second best all over
I`d be positive if I could
But this results been coming
We really ain`t that good.

This lot in the Premier
Please don`t make me laugh
We cannot keep possession
Or play in our own half.

A pint in town beforehand
Sort of compensates
Jeffery Hudson Bitter
Really suits my taste.

So seasiders next home game
And Olly`s passing game
Unless we`re in their faces
Jeff says more of the same.

Awful game; a couple of notches above pub football bar the Boro goal. Emnes was embarassingly poor.
