My prev post... Not really.

What a fantastic night!!

Strange game. Forest were a GOOD side, especially in midfield, going forward, and they
almost got a lot of shots in, but were charged down etc, ir they flew over. But looked a decent outfit.

Don't agree that we were poor. It seemed to me more like an end to end game,
except it was like ten minutes for us, then ten minutes for them. At times we were
all over them.

Listening to scores from elsewhere. First West Ham scored but it wasn't too big a deal
as I expected them to win 3-0 anyway. Then Bristol equalised, but it wasn't a big deal
as I expected West Ham to win 3-1...

Then, it was their FT and they'd drawn and suddenly everything was crystal clear that
(a) we needed one goal and (b) WE WOULD GET IT.

I swear I was utterly convinced, and I had bet on the fact. Backed "First Goal" after 80 minutes at 33-1.

When Harte got ready to take that free-kick it was 10minutes-20-odd seconds to go and if he had rushed it
and Elwood had scored... my bet would have gone down. But he didn't. Proof that there is a God. Thanks dad.

From the moment the West Ham 1-1 was confirmed I though the MadStad was ELECTRIC. Fantastic atmosphere
and even the West Stand was bopping. I think the clapper-things are pretty cool. Never thought I say such a thing
but they DO get a lot more noise going.

I believe we have been promoted. Is that correct?

Was always going to be a nervy crappy game. Fair play to Forest - they looked decent.

What a night. Unbelievable.

Leigertwood was everywhere, blocked everything, some wonderful passes, and, obviously, the goal that put us in the premiership!MOTMFM By a mile.
Mullins was far better today.

atmosphere was wonderful, all 4 stands on their feet and chanting!

Pitch invasion was incredible. As I ran on I exchanged words with Lee Camp who was very gracious and pleased for us. Jumped on Feds and helped Afbobe to crowd surf. Wonderful.

Just got home. Hasn't sunk in yet. Watching the pitch invasion was as though I was watching it on a screen or something it was almost unreal. Enjoyed a couple of cans on the train with fellow London Royals. I really didn't think we'd pull it off tonight and Forest were no push overs.

I particularly liked him on SSN just in his pants pushing Jem Karacan around in a wheelchair. It was a touching image.

Wooooooooooooooooohooooooooooooooooooo!
Wooooooooooooooooohooooooooooooooooooo!
Wooooooooooooooooohooooooooooooooooooo!

Just wish I didn't have to leave the celebrations earlier than I wanted to get train back to Southampton.
Then again, pretty bloody sweet that we've gone up before the Saints when I've had to watch them close up smugly sitting top for so long!

Bring on next season!
