On the plus side, I'm pleased to see Hunt and Roberts start again though.

Not signed a contract so he can carry out sitting on the oxf*rd bench whilst watching Gorkss playing shit, basically.

Lets hope the possession isn't 70/30 and they get to touch the ball.

It would be very 'Reading' to pull a performance out of the bag here against the odds, but I just can't see that team being the one to do it.

The Pearce situation is actually making me angry.

Sky Sports reporting the injury, but then Feds got 'injured' after his willyfit, so who knows.

Not sure how he got a thigh injury when he was allegedly fine, then told to stay away from training etc etc.

Bored of Reading FC and bored of Brian McDermott.

I don't care if we're shit, I've seen us be shit loads, i just want him to play his best team. 4-1 today to QPR.

Going to reiterate what everyone else has been saying. What the F is up with the back 4.

Fair enough Mariappa is injured, you can't control that. But Morro ahead of Pearce just takes the biscuit. I would be happy if we didn't conceded against Arsenal but we did.

At least Roberts is fit and firing and McCleary is in the team. HRK should get more minutes on that pitch, his crossing has been much better this year and he has a left foot.

So I guess with POG on the bench nowadays, Guthrie out of favour and Gunter and McCleary in and out of the side, our most successful summer signing was Shorey!

That's all three CBs openly preferred to Pearce now. Not just that Pearce can't get into the side, but that opportunities have arisen for Pearce to come into the side, but all three have been chosen ahead of him.

Enjoy Anfield Alex, I'd listen to Brendan.

Another set of changes, are we ever going to find our, loose term this, "best" line up ?? we shipped 7 against Arsenal and low and behold one of the biggest causes Gorks is still there, together with Gunter who was getting murdered by the gunners left hand side in the second half, Hoilett will have a field day, and Pearce is collecting splinters, presumably until he signs a contract, what is this doing to our much lauded team spirit, we so need something today, or the next thing is the dressing room will be lost to the manager and that will certainly spell the end? All in all a very confusing selection again,

I don't want to get ahead of myself and call Brian clueless because QPR are also shit and we *might* just get a result here. But that looks like an absolute car crash of a starting line up that deserves to get absolutely slaughtered. At least we should score goals with possibly our strongest attacking four and lots of attacking quality on the bench.

Lets hope we don't take an early lead though. Because this side doesn't have a clue how to defend it and there's absolutely nothing on the bench to help.

Thought Morrison looked quite good on Tuesday despite that shambles, however Pearce was POTY last year and has been pretty harshly dealt with this year, along with Federici and Guthrie it's all very un Reading like. Not usually ones to drop someone especially someone that has been consistently good for a long time like Federici and Pearce were for them last year.

Personally I'd have picked Morisson alongside Pearce and left Gorkss out as he was diabolical on Tuesday.

1-1 today.

50-1 available for Sean Morrison first scorer on bet 365. Hit the post against Arsenal and odds seem reflective of a sub (vs 33-1 Gorkss), Shorey also at 50-1 despite starting ahead of Harte (18-1) and on free kick duties. Some value there.

If Reading FC want Pearce to sign a new contract, how does dropping him and pissing him off encourage him to sign?

Some more spectacular mismanagement from Reading

If we get a draw, I'll be over the bloody moon to be perfectly honest.

I agree re Morrison, but playing Gorkss ahead of Pearce is managerial suicide for McD and is telling me that he hasn't got a oxf*rd clue and nor does he care about the "team" cos if he did, he'd play the best players that could get us a result. Idiot.
