Norfolk Royal Call me old fashioned but I can't be the only one who thinks that stunt is poor.

It's completely :|

Not offensive, not funny, just really weak shit.

Turkeys in Norfolk are afforded the same iconic status as cows in India, it probably would be considered offensive there.

This ^^

Anyone who thinks that's even remotely funny, wants to have a think about enriching their lives with people and jokes which are genuinely funny. I suggest Lee Evans, Micky Flanagan, Peter Kay and Michael McIntyre to start (for comedy you don't have to think about). If you're intelligent enough - Tim Minchin and Eddie Izzard are about the best out there.

A oxf*rd dressing up a bunch of turkeys in RFC shirts (how did the RSPCA not shit a brick at this?) isn't really very funny - and given that all of the stories have been taken down - presumably because they didn't have RFC's permission to take the photos, and did so on private property (within the boundaries of the ground) - it's not even given them the coverage they wanted.

Some ground-breaking comedy recommendations there.

It's also inhumane to the poor animals making them dress up like that.

It's not the first time animals have been used to make a point.

^Good point, and these turkeys are from some sort of animal agency that film and TV programmes use. They'll be alive and well in 2013, not like the ones you see shrink wrapped down Waitrose.

If you think it's cruel than I do hope you're a veggie?

True, but that's going to happen anyway unless they manage to make a career out of flapping around in blue and white hoops (awaits obvious punchline)

The independent article was also taken down. Maybe there was an official complaint from the club?
