blueroyals We string 8 or 10 passes together then someone gets the ball and lumps it forward, why?

is it because they're shit

You can see we are trying to pass more but it seems like we just get bored and then lump it forward after a while.

Good signs today. But the first touch when its played into the feet of the striker though is letting us down!

Granted it seems to eventually break down to a shit pass everytime but I am definitely liking the style of play we're showing today, bit more practice (and a couple of replacements) and we could be looking at some decent football in the future!

We are still clearly lacking someone who can do that final pass, but we are looking decent in the middle. It just breaks down eventually because of a lack of creativity. It's that spot behind Pog we are weakest in this formation.

I'm no fan of lumping it forward but we're not in control of the passing when we have it

Pogrebnyak's class is really standing out today. As is Blackman's lack off it

We do seem to be more comfortable on the ball, but we are still allowing them too much time on the ball.

We're growing into this game nicely. Decent play from The Pog and McCleary there.

Lovely timed run off the ball there by Pog to beat the offside trap by the finest (but well judged) margins. He could destroy teams next season if we keep him. Perhaps some of Anton's 'friends' can persuade him that it would be far better for his fitness if he stayed with us!

A bit of confidence and more balls to feet like that and Pog will score many goals, he actually smiled then

Probably a bit ambitious there, Danny.

This team with few additions next season should be very competitive.

Championship teams won't hold their shape as well and will press at the wrong times.
