I've put £5 on us to win - my winnings from my free skybet on Reading to beat Ipswich..... I then went to use my next free £5 bet on us to win and accidentally put it on Birmingham and Blackpool to draw.

Reading v Watford = historically a 1-1 or 0-0, but I'm going 3-1 to Reading as we're seem to be improving and making chances.

I'm not scared of Watford just because they won 6-1.

Open game with Reading winning 3-2.

Watford are on a roll but haven't played a good team yet. Reading have had a good start despite obvious problems - the Striker situation being just one. If Reading can win this, however they do it, we are definately on our way. However, it would take a brave man to bet against Watford.

If Blackman has really been stunning in training, he and ALF up front would give us a good chance. Unfortunately, when a Manager is determined to play 4-5-1 regardless of either his players abilities or the requirements against certain opposition there will always be a chance that we sink without trace. I like Adkins and he has a good record but his one obvious fault is a lack of flexibility when that is just what is required.

Head:- Reading 1-3 Watford
Heart:- Reading 2-1 Watford.

An interesting observation. Maybe worth a punt on Jordan Rhodes?

Gianfranco Zola Budd and his Pozzo owned team of rule benders arrive at the Madejski in fine fettle. If they can keep Deeney scoring and out of jail they're a threat in this league. They must be sleeping with one eye open though wondering when the London Premier League contingent will make a decent bid for their leading marksman.

1 - 1 in front of 2 of the most raucous sets of fans in the land.

Or Charlie Austin

Or Gary Hooper

Or any other flavour of the month striker TheStooge can think of.

0-2

No shots on goal for the home team, bar a couple of outrageous 30 yarders from Drenthe/Guthrie that fly high into the North Stand.

If Troy Deeney is still there then 2-2. If he's gone then 2-0
