So just Chelsea for the 13. Could all end at Man City sunday though. If it doesn't, god knows who will beat them.

In that timeframe they have away games against Man City, Man U and Liverpool as well as a home game against Arsenal, if they win 14 in a row, they deserve it.

I'm on the case and, apart from the PL where they've obviously got fewer points to play for, Carlisle and Fulham are looking likely to be the first to drop out of the 106 race. 3 more games could see Carlisle go and Fulham might need just one more than that.

Bristol City are the only team to be averaging more than the required 2.30 points per game - theirs is currently 2.33

On a side note, it's somewhat satisfying to see that Man Utd were one of the first batch to avoid the possibility of reaching 106 8)
(and yes, I know it's because they play fewer games)

Not applicable to us, maybe it is, I don't know.

I noticed before they got hammered 4-0 by WBA that Burnley had 3 0-0 draws in a row. Now Forest have had 3 0-0s in a row. What is the record for this?

Can't find anything league wide, but some googling revealed that 4 is the record in the prem held by Tottenham & Arsenal.

That's okay, I probably jinxed us last night with that... maybe we're now on course to set the record.

I found a report that in 1998 Tranmere set the record at 5. Can't see anything since to extend it.

Looking at Reading's back four on Saturday, it's not going to be a Team Board issue any time soon.

We could set the record for the most amount of times a team has conceded exactly 3 goals in a game over the course of a season.

Back to back defeats for Bristol City. Looking safe for another year already with no other clubs averaging over 2 pts a game.

Looking back through the thread, how can you not be proud about your club achieving the biggest points haul in the history of English Football? Its an incredible record. Love the 106 song and heres to it being sung for a long time to come. Can't even begin to imagine how any Reading fan could not like it.

Let's face it, we don't have a lot of history of note. Before the 106 we used to sing about the simod cup being our main achievement when opposing fans took the mick.

The 13 wins is great but you can't sing it easily as a comeback.

The 106 is something to be cherished and long may it stay unbeaten (or unequalled for that matter).

Ark Royal
KC Royal
handbags_harris Indeed he did. In fact, here's some Old Trafford footage from the previous season, a game in which Murty played and Barras scored:- Manchester Utd 0-3 York City.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=neWTcTVI ... re=related

I came across this match sometime last season I think. What made me chuckle was at the end Murty goes down with an injury after a seemingly innocuous looking aerial challenge with Denis Irwin!

Enjoyed working my way through this thread, so far, been meaning to for ages  I bought the Seasons Greetings 1994 video (for no more than a pound from the Ashford shopping centre around the turn of the century) but have always wanted highlights of games from later in the season (I came across the Wembley game on Youtube). Good to see that Tranmere game - reminds me of that Saints away game in April 2012. Also good to see the Charlton highlights from 1994, don't think the footage on the video was anywhere near as long as that. Incredible game at Exeter too, that FL record of everyone scoring twice I don't think will ever be beaten.

Yes. Only league game in history where five players have scored two goals each.

Another record to watch out for then,

Unless we can equal or beat it ourselves.

Should be all done and dusted pretty early this season. Bristol City are having a little wobbly, 5 points dropped in their last 3 games. They play 5 of the bottom 8 in March but 5 of the top 9 in April

Anyone have the info on our record breaking FA cup performances ? Not sure who comes close to us, but if we win the cup this year it will be the first time for decades the gap between us and the pack will have closed.....
