Winston SmithIan Royal The Fulham fans seemed a decent bunch. Otherwise they were atrocious..
what does that even mean?

tidus_mi2 Considering all our best passes came from Norwood, the midfielder today, I think I'll take Berry's comment with a pinch of salt.

SydenhamRoyal Concerning that we relied on Feds to save us when we were only 1-0 up, later in the first half
Concerning that we took a long time to fashion a first chance
Norwood was a class apart - did what Guthrie does, but better, and without slowing the game for 20 seconds first to allow the opposition to regroup
Hector gets better and better, his composure on the ball is a joy to behold
Obita has a reason to get forward and whip in crosses now
Murray was deadly
Norwood's arrival meant Akpan was freed to get forward more, and he is better as an attacking rather than defensive midfielder
Some of the interplay in the first half was fantastic
Taylor was a little disappointing, Gunter was ok, Pearce had a decent game, Cox and Mackie were a threat

3points Two minor criticisms. Felt we should have pushed on more in the last 20 as I felt we could have scored more, but we lacked impetus.

LoyalRoyal22 Brilliant performance , loved how stubborn we were with the short passing. We have come on along way from the direct approach of Brian.

Norwood-9
Akpan-7
Mackie-6

Glad to see Blackman score, looks a more complete player this season, everyone fit I would have him in my first 11.

U mean apart from norwood, the midfielder sat in front of the defence playing all sorts of passes?

Just out of interest, at what distance does a pass become a long pass? There must come a (probably arbitrary) point when the stattos call a pass 'long'.

Not sure I quite agree with that. It's not the most pleasing on the eye for the fans, but it was a good exercise in learning how to hold out for the win & clean sheet. There will be plenty of games this season where the game is a lot tighter and we'll need to kill the game and keep possession, and thought we did that very well today (albeit against 10 men).
